Not much I can do from Las Vegas. I went to Phoenix over the weekend and saw NASCAR races. Got in for free. Man, even in November, you can still get sunburn. My arms are red.

Never will understand the fascination with NASCAR. To quote a famous 'dummy:'

Its not the left turn, its the way the race car explodes on the track. >:)

Aaaah - so that's the secret.... ;P

Okay. Twelve days of silence is enough. I will continue with the thread hopefully by Sunday night. I hope everyone survived Thanksgiving and Black Friday. May you do your Christmas shopping early this year. Now, where was I...?

You were contemplating the minotaurs.

Let's see if I can use shocking grasp to restart this arc...

Oroth walks back into the room, a worried look on his face.

"Not to crash this party or anything, but whatever is going to be done needs to happen quickly. Apparently, a rumor that the Okoyo is somewhere in the Bazaar is spreading. If the people looking for the Okoyo find us, they will most certainly slow us down."

Oroth Sunschild wrote:
"Okoyo"

Aidan grimaces, and mumbles something under his breath.

Because he keeps forgetting that Devlyn is Cat-man, but remembers that Allura can read minds!

"Should have stayed in the Grove..."

"Who or what is the 'Okoyo'?"

The Dalesman wrote:
"Who or what is the 'Okoyo'?"

Oroth begins to speak, but Aidan holds up a hand to stop him.

"Okoyo means 'Bringer of Fire.' There are two groups of people after him, those who would worship him for the power he no longer has, and those who would destroy him for the same reason. Either way, we need to hurry this little meeting along and finish this preistess off so Tristan can be safe."

"Oh. I know how that goes. Yeah. We should definitely hurry. The people trying to kill you are complicated enough, but the worshippers," she added wrinkling her nose with distaste. "They're so annoying."

"So true it's not even funny, huh?"

*pulls out bird whistle, uses it*

If you need any help with this Oroyo, may I be of assistance? With one gem in our possession, and a second out of Zhalail's reach, it will be some time before she can act on her plan. They need Tristan's unwilling assistance first.

Tristand tugs on Solmyr's cloak.

:::Are you going to finish the rest. You know, about Zhalail.:::

Solmyr of the Azure Flame wrote:

"If need be, I can distract the people after him while you make your way to Tristan's house. Shouldn't be a problem if we move quickly."

My informants tell me that Zhalail left something, actually several somethings in the house. Traps to snare and maim the unwary and a warden or guardian of some sort. A way of informing her when the house is entered again. What they are is unknown. The Demach's left several abjurations and cloaking shield around and about the estate to protect it from scrying and remote surveillance. Since I was the "black sheep" of the family, I was not privilege to know their secrets.

He huffs.

I hate venturing into the unknown.

"Yep. Mr. Djuhah is very helpful...but a little busy at the moment. So you've got to make do with us," she added with a cheerful smile. "My mom says phenomenal cosmic powers are over-rated anyways. And she should know."

"I may have to meet your mother and Mr. Djuhah, if all goes well."

He pauses for a moment. "Well, if the children are ready, I suppose Tristan will have his homecoming soon enough. Are you ready to go home, even for a brief visit?"

I'm gone for a whole month and you guys are still here?!

BP went on vacation. And since when did this free-form game care about speed? There is a reason we can use time-warp.

P.S Have you seen the Summoner(the original anyway)? (^-^)

Time warps get confusing. I had a whole way of reintroducing some of my oldest characters.

"I'm ready to go."

"So am I. Let's go and get that gem!"

"I've got a feeling that the collateral damage for this little venture is going to get worse. Let's try to keep it as contained as possible."

The group heads to Tristan's old home.

On the way, there is a large puddle. In the puddle is a black snake, slithering about. When it notices you, it gets up guiltily. It is Sytt.
"Hey there, friends! I was just...I was waiting for you! Things have gotten really bad while you guys fooled around with whatever you were doing. Some kid or something? Well, anyways, that's your biz. But a couplaold 'friends' 've surfaced. Any of you know 'bout the Kitten Vikings? Those freaks from the north?"
I'm back!

:::Uncle Solmyr, anyone, someone, make that snake go away!:::

If anyone can get a hold of an administrator, have them move the thread: The House at the Edge of Eternity to PBP thread. It should still be in the Off-Topic thread. It didn't get moved with the last transfer. It could be in that section's archives too.

"Hello Sytt. If you would excuse us, with have something very important to do. Why don't you go sun yourself at the Oasis before Tristan calls for Ellara?"

I made a post trying to get the admins' attention, but we could always post there anyway.

Either that or we just recreate it here in PBP since there was just the inital post there. It might be faster...

Pacing above them on a nearby roof, Shadow Pelt watches.

Tristan the Waif wrote:

Syt looks angry for a moment, then changes his face into an even more unpleasant smile. "Kid, right now I'm on your side. That could change."

He turns to stare at the others. "Don't say I didn't try to warn you. The Servants just got something that could tip the scales, and we just lost a few allies we could need. Beware of the deep and shadow, for they are no longer your friends." His simpering look changes into a malicious smirk. "I'll be watching." He vanishes.

Not too nearby, though. It's not quite time...yet :)

the Deep = reference to deep ocean?

"I'm sure he meant something completely different from what we're thinking, so we'd best just stay focused on the problem at hand."
