That wraps it up folks, at least for today. I'm off the do the swing shift and will be very busy this afternoon. We have corporate heads from Canada, Quebec, actually they're coming in and doing a tour.

The finer side to reality is I will back tomorrow, on-line in the morning and all day. Graveyard shift calls tomoorow night.

Take care everyone.

Signing off for the commute home - may be back in an hour :)

Logging off for the night. See everyone in the morning :)

Shadow Lodge

It's amazing how bringing in an alias can cause so much trouble! ;p

I'll be on-line this morning.

Morning all - trying to catch up on everything I missed in the RPG forum now....

[Finally finishes reading everything]
...............Well alrighty then. That's a lot to digest ;P

Any characters in this thread that are still alive besides me, sound off please... :P

Just checking ;P

I fear I got us stuck on a tangent we won't be able to finish...should've thought about that first I guess...

Well, at least it provides a good, believable explanation for why we weren't at the battle.

True, and it was part of the reason I decided to jump on the option. I just don't think we'll ever get the two of us and Patrick, Blue Pigeon and DB3 on at the same time. Can't....make....stars align.... :P

Now that you mention stars...;) I can get us sidetrekked out of this in a snap if you want. But it involves a maddening Dora the Explorer inspired hunt for stars :)

This wouldn't have anything to do with the star sitting at the feet of Yggdrasil, would it?

My curiosity's piqued...

Yes, it would. :) *Somebody* got herself blown up into lots of little bitty pieces that are now scattered all over the place.

Well, at least they look better than what GDK evidently left behind. I know Devlyn would rather not look at that kind of collection again, given the choice ;)

lol:) Yeah, well, I figure the type of pieces should correlate to the type of goddess. So GDK was little bits of slimy ick and LJ is stars.

Looks like Charles took up the gauntlet...I just can't check the boards fast enough today :P

This would be Jack Hammer's thing primarily, but I can see the rest of us trying to help out, if we want to do it.

Good afternoon. I'm back on-line. The sun shines again.

Verily :)

Homeward bound - be back in an hour or so :)

And back online for the next hour :)

Shadow Lodge

Sound off, one two!
Sound off, three four!

Not that I'm involved in this fight or anything. ;)

While no sign of what grabbed the missing dromite can be found, deep scratches in the floor can be discovered 100 yards away.

And I'm still here too. We're waiting for...something? Don't know what yet :)

Edit: Well, we know a little more of what now :)

Suddenly, everyone sees a group of Yugoloths flying towards teh Sanctum. There is a brief struggle with the wards, then they manage to get in.
A canaloth speaks.

"Hey, we're friends of KC. Well, 'friends' is the wrong word. But we know him, and we owe each other some favors. So what's going on? We're beyond bored."

And my time is up for the night. G'night all :)

[EDIT: If everyone else comes online tonight for it, please go ahead and run the 'under-sanctum' thing. It will prevent any timeline or continuity issues. I'll catch up on what happened in the morning ;P]

The two remaining dromites continue to survey the area. One touchs the floor and the interior of the Sanctum is alight brightly. The Lord of All Insects jumps back into spacial view. He motions a triangle shape gesture with his fingers to the dromites. The dromites nod and follow him approximately 100 yards.

"we're not," says a voice as three solar elementals and 3 gravity elementals step out form the walls. Bouncer points his fiery finger and proceeds to say, "What do you think your doing and why did you barge in here without permission? I don't know of any KC and you had better state your business quickly before my security detachment and I eject you off the property. Those wards were up for a reason."

Telepathic Communication: Hey boss, Somne Yugoloths barged in and say they have a favor from KC. Do you know anyone who knows a KC?

Sunny G: "No, but I'll ask the others. Reset the wards but stay sharp."

High above them, shrouded in darkness, a metal dragon moves silently from pillar to pillar. Padding and powerful suction cups on it's claws allow this to be possible. It begins to follow the dromites and Lord of All Insects...

Right now only Suuny could see it, and only if he thinks to look up. LoAI might hear it though, what with his increased senses.

"Watch where you point that thing, ya glorified matchstick. And ain't ya heard of KC? Kobold Cleaver? Lord of the Boards? He was famous before we left.

"And we're here because this is s'posed to be a free area. What we need is another neutral ground, 'cause we even helped in the big battle an' ever'bodies prejudicin' us!"

Tapping the vast arsenal of weapons that is the insect kingdom, the Lord of All Insects grins. His senses magify to an astonishing degree, including scent and taste. His chitinous exterior thickens to that of a giant tick and turns crimson red. He motions the dromites to stand clear.

From high above the metal dragon watches, head titled to one side as the Lord changes in form.

Sunny G taps the mosaic covered wall in three specific areas and a secret door opens before the assembled heroes.

"They're in the primary vault. It's place I've hid away. A place I hide certain magical items and relics."

There is a slight halo around their heads (anyone with Sunny G. currently). You'll know how to access the vault when a time of need. He slaps a second secret alcove and a small platform falls into place.

"This is scatter compass." He hands one to each. "It will randomize dimensional doorways and translocation magics with the Sanctum. You can enter, but you had better not leave or your destination will be far off. Whoever is in there, I want alive for interrogation."

Taking a large battle axe, he proceeds towards the primary vault.

Allura glances nervously at Devlyn as she accepts a compass. "Well, I hope we're not in too much over our heads on this one."

Allura wrote:

Taps a second spot on the moasic and another alcove drops graciously downward.

"Sun Bracers," he says. "Donning one grants an sheath of divine energy. Now let's move."

That's a wrap for the night. Call it a cliffhanger. I just called into work. Ten to twelve hours tonight. I need to overtime.

I'll be back in the morning.

Alaina follows Sunny G into the vault, the lance casting a steady flame glow

Morning all. Apologies in advance if my responses are slow this morning - lots of projects at the office :P

"Any way to dampen the light on this?" Devlyn asks as he looks at the halo-thingy around his head. "Wait - I got it." He adjusts his cowl so that it covers up the faint halo.

"We'll be okay. We just watch each others' backs," Devlyn says as he quickly squeezes Allura's hand.

"I'll have to pass on those," as he taps the dark bracers already on his forearms. He hands his off to Allura.

The metal dragon, turns it's head so it's auditory units can better hear the new comers, then turns back to Lord of All Insects.

"What was that? Did you hear something?" Allura asks nervously, slipping on the bracers.

I'm guessing what she hears is either the LoaI or her imagination. She's just being nervous.

What a long night. Up all day and through the night into the morning. Anyway, I'm home and heading to bed. I'll be up around 3:30 or 4:00 P.M. PST. Now I'm off to bed for some much need sleep. I'll get replies out this afternoon. I promise.

We're actually in the vault now? Cool, that's all I needed... ;)

Devlyn caught a faint, odd scent as they entered the vault. He couldn't quite place it. The noise that prompted Allura's comment probably wasn't coincidence, however.

He looks over at Allura and unobtrusively puts a hand on her arm to get her to look at him. When she meets his gaze, his eyes quickly look up into the darkness overhead, but he doesn't move his head. With a wink, he steps around a column, apparently to make sure nothing is behind it. When the column no longer blocks her view, she sees that he is no longer there.

Allura looks up to see if she can spot Devlyn in the shadows, but all she sees is darkness.

Invoking Hide in Plain Sight + successful Use Magic Device to use a wand of pass without trace on himself + Spider Climb from his Cowl of Arachnida to go up the backside of the column + Move Silently = Friendly Neighborhood Dalesman in 'Stealthy Wallcrawler Mode' :)
