You know you're a Paizo nerd when you get paged to your PbPs.

The 'zine looks fantastic. Great job and now I can't wait to get my hands on the physical copy!

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Can't wait! Attachment size limits will prevent me from getting Hugo's e-mail but I'm looking forward to downloading the PDF as soon as it goes up on the site, here! :D

Scarab Sages

Ar-Harrrrrr!

Are ye scurvy landlubbers ready to sing the Paizocon shanty?

(ye needs to unroll yon parchment, so you do...)

But who would be the Paizocon pod-person?

Rone & Ed of course. Although Rone's not there now and I'm not sure if Ed is staying for the whole thing...

So PaizoCON Podcast next year!

Sweet of you to say, Flash. Thanks.

If Paizo helps me get to Paizocon III 3D (They should hire professional booth bait models to dress up as the Pathfinder iconics) I'll podcast/videocast all day, shine their shoes, and even let Jason dwarf toss me into the dumpster out back (I'm 6'2 but to Jason I'm a human bench).

No copy for me? :(

I got mine! Yay!!

What a great way to start the day. Thanks, Hugo.

Sovereign Court

got mine as well . . . unfortunately my last two edits didn't take :(

Oh well. The rest of the magazine is incredible! This looks almost as good as the Paizo run of Dragon and Dungeon magazines! Easily better then Dragon magazine itself in it's initial run. I hope we don't have to wait a whole year for another volume . . .

Sovereign Court

I got home late last night but my wife was still up. Went through the goody bag and thought the Fanzine was one of the Paizo-produced goodies. I had to convince her it was Fan produced.

'Nuff said. Great job!

This is a beautiful piece of work. Just wanted to register my compliments. Looking forward to reading it fully!

"'Nuff said." is right! That's an awesome compliment. I can't wait to see this printed product!

Congrats, again, Hugo and Liz, and to everyone who contributed!

I've read through the fanzine and, based on how awesome it is, I've made the following decision:

I'm going to start working on my contribution to next year's fanzine right now. Maybe multiple contributions. In any case, enough to ensure that I earn a hard copy of Volume 2. Because I know I'll want one.

Shadow Lodge

I'm definitely going to work on a contribution for the next Fanzine. That was simply awesome to get, and though I haven't finished reading all of it yet, I will soon :)

Liberty's Edge

I sent the preview to one of the artist that made the art for my story "Life in Korvosa"

You just made my morning splendidly good. I'm overjoyed and excited. This is the first time anything I've done has gotten published anywhere. Thank you so much!

I am with her, I know the hardest job on this had been made by Hugo and Liz, but I must say that is an honor to be part of this.

I agree it woould be cool if this could be repeated before the year passes... but I understand that the only place where for the time being it could be presented physically would be Paizocon, and the cost of printing it would be impossitive as fan product, it would be hard...

having it as a PDF would be cheaper... still a lot of work over Hugo and Liz shoulders.

Anyway it is a great work the one that was done by everyone involved :D

Shadow Lodge

Well, no one's saying Hugo and Liz have to do it alone. There are a bunch of us, myself included, that would do whatever we could for the Fanzine. Consider myself volunteered :)

I actually found myself wishing the fanzine could be more often as well. It was amazing to look through, with plenty of stories and resources. If enough of us worked on it maybe we could get it (in PDF form at least) more often.

i myself up for this if they are, which we would know sooner or later :P

Is there anyway for someone who didnt go to PaizoCon to get a Fanzine?

It was a great honor to be part of this beautiful product.

The paizo crew will be putting it up soon. They are still recovering from the weekend, be a wee bit patient and you will get it.

Silver Crusade

Just saw the cover on the blog. Whoever the artist is(Hugo?), give yourself a big ol' pat on the back from me!

Full color PDF will be available from the Paizo site. Soon(ish). :)

Hehe! I finally got a copy. I perused one while at the con but neglected to snag it for myself. Thank you so much Lilith for stopping by the office today and giving me one. (And a hug!)

You're welcome! I felt like a newspaper delivery boy, running around to all the desks and passing them out. :D

The fanzine rocked my socks off. A huge huzzah to all the contributing authors, artists, editors, and contributors that made this happen. It is the second greatest thing I returned home with (memories take first place).

Some special props:

Hugo: I know we got to talk a little bit on Sunday, but as a former small press editor, I would like to reiterate: This is a great production. Be proud.

To Lilith and the rest of the editorial staff: Great work! Like I said to Hugo, be proud. I can't wait for next year's edition.

Jason Kirckof: Thanks for the pic of the priest from my fiction piece. I really liked the details (piercings, ritual scarring, and the way you depicted the wounds). Oh, and the Sentimental Horde piece made milk come out of my nose...which is weird, because I wasn't even drinking milk at the time.

Montalve: Natalia is an interesting character. Maybe next fanzine we can get an NPC stat block?

Immora & Wicht: "The Old Lady of the River" and "Black Sails" were really compelling pieces. They really got my creative DM juices flowing and produced a couple pages of notes for future adventure ideas. Thank you.

SunshineGrrrl: The Dawnflower Dervish is really cool. I'm looking forward to running, or possibly playing in, Legacy of Fire and having this prestige class available.

Oh, and the artwork above the foreword is classic! I don't know if that piece is Glen Zimmerman's or Callous Jack's, but I can't wait to see Courtfool's reaction to it.

You are welcome and Thank You.

- edit - Speaking of adventure ideas with the story, I had the idea of writing up the speaker in the story using the Beta rules. I thought it would make a good excuse to use the abberant sorcerer bloodline. But in the end, with two submissions already made I didn't want to oversubmit so I did not.

Contributors/Donors who did not go to the Con should be getting copies mailed to them. Not sure of the timeframe on that, but soon I hope. :-D

yes, of course I already need to remake her for a CotCT campaign as a PC, so I will have it at hand...

even if the statblock has no place for adding traits!

stuff about his stories

I apologize in advance if I'm mistaken, but "Black Sails" is a public domain Lovecraft story edited to fit the world of Golarion, is it not? I'm fairly sure I read a nearly-identical story a few years back in an anthology of fiction written or inspired by H.P. Lovecraft, though it may take me a little while to track the book down and make sure that I'm remembering it correctly.

For those that donated, contributed, or advertised with the fanzine and were NOT able to get a copy of the fanzine at the convention, PLEASE make sure I have a copy of a shipping address that I can use. I'll be getting those sorted out this week, please use the email address that's in my profile to send your shipping address to me.
