The idea of the boilerplate page for Monte Cook's Book of Experimental Might (individually numbered and autographed) sparked an idea for Pathfinder RPG (*not* individually numbered and autographed, but ...)
When advertising Pathfinder Society sessions at Cons, I usually suggest players sign up to Pathfinder Society beforehand, and write their number on the inside cover of their Player's Handbook for easy reference.
Unlesss Paizo already have other ideas for the inside front cover, how about a printed space where players can record their name, Pathfinder Society number, logo, short blurb about Pathfinder Society, website address, and then space to record character names and numbers.
This is not only a constant reminder to players of this great Organised Play campaign, hopefully more players will seek it out, but also a place they can personalise their copy of the Pathfinder RPG (handy when books get handed around the table at conventions), and record their Pathfinder Society number, and the number of each character. You might even go as far as providing a thumbnail sized empty photo space alongside each character name/number for players to sketch in character profiles, weapon, holy symbol or something relevant to the character.

What about having Society branded 'plates' to put into the book. You can give them out at the PFS games.
I would be against the idea of having them be permanent in the book especially if they will have their character name on it. If their character dies then the plate would be 'incorrect'. If they have a new character then the can put a new plate over the old one. Or keep then separately.
