Lots of Fun had at Spellstorm, Toronto!

I went to Spellstorm on Saturday, and although it was a tiny con (first year), it sure seemed to me like everyone was having a blast. Congrats to the organizers!

I was only able to stay for the one slot, but managed to get into a running of "Slave Pits of Absalom". Mike Kortes was the DM, and the other players included 2 of the other Shackletons (Craig "Rambling Scribe" and Glen "Demoyeti"}, as well as Armac.

My personal triumph was managing to succeed on my faction goal in a party where I was the only non-Taldan. I even came close to denying them their goal (without actively trying).

For people near Toronto, watch for this con next year! This will be the replacement for the late, lamented Pandemonium.

I too had a lot of fun at Spellstorm, playing in two slots of PFS.

I didn't really enjoy the car ride home to Ottawa from Toronto with the wind blowing the snow around creating white-out conditions while we were trying to drive. Oh well, a short unplanned overnight in Kingston and things were fine today.

Thanks to Mike and Glen for running adventures for me to play in. (Glen ran "Murder on the Silken Caravan" and I felt fortunate to survive!)

I look forward to more PFS action sometime soon.

Thanks to the organizers of the Con, Thanks to Mike Kortes for putting us up and running Slave Pits, Thanks to Glen for running Silken Caravan, Thanks to Lou Agresta and Greg Vaughan for two awesome adventures, Thanks to Armac for driving me there, and especially for driving back in a blizzard. Thanks to Hairy Tarantula games for donating prizes to the con (especially since I won one). And finally thank-you dice, for letting me survive!

I had a great time, and look forward to next year's Spell Storm, even bigger and better!

I regret not going, but real life + cold weather conspired against it for me.

It was a bitter cold!

Though it was an awesome time. It was a pleasure playing with high-calibre players all-round.

I hear ya Scribbler – it’s tough being surrounded by Taldans. Especially big giant burly ones.

Yes, thanks again to Lou and Greg for giving us a solid day’s entertainment.

Let’s do this again sometime! I bet we can fit way more Halflings in that barrel!

P.S. Join us next year Hogarth!

While reading this post I reflected on how many notorious Pathfinder contributors attended this con and the South Park showtune "Blame Canada" sprung into my mind...

It's not all our fault...

The adventures were by Vaughan and Agresta!

Awesome Doug! Linkified for ya!

OK, a poet I am not. But here’s my attempt at lyrics:

.
.
.

Oh my PC now lies dead,
He took an arrow to the head,

BLAME CANADA!
BLAME CANADA!!

Pointing to the DM would be nice,
Or perhaps it was the dice,

NO!
BLAME CANADA!
BLAME CANADA!!

I shouldn’t have dump-stat all my Con,
In hindsight that was prob-ly wrong,

NO!
BLAME CANADA!
BLAME CANADA!!

Splitting the party wasn’t quite the way,
Probably caused the second Tee-pee-kay,

NO!
BLAME CANADA!
BLAME CAN-AAAA-DAAAA!!

SHAME ON CANADA!
BLAME CANADA!
