This is what a superstar item should be. Good description, interesting and unique mechanic, and does something not straight out of the spell list. I don't have anything more to add that previous comments haven't hit on, but great job. I'm looking forward to your villain entries.

Ah, so your avatar is not a self-portrait, then... ;)

Oh, come now...we all know that's actually a full pelt you're sporting there. You're half sasquatch living in Ottawa after all! ;-)

But at least your avatar choice may let you meet the prerequisites for gaining access to the Game Designer prestige class anyway.

Here's some most awesome artwork rendered by Hugo Solis (aka Butterfrog to some, I believe)...of the last leaves of the autumn dryad. Everybody give him some mad props for penning this image. It's fantastic, in my opinion...

He, I was just going to spam your thread with this link again :P Thankfully I saw it first.

Glad you liked it Neil!

Neil!

Spoiler:
Eeer... I didn't liked the sepia color... so I changed it to black as my other stuff, I think it looks better. I'm linking it again for easier access. I'm not posting is "in the open" again not to spam too much your hread, I leave it up to you if you want to make it "public" again ;)

It's cold in Ottawa. It was -35 celsius with the wind chill yesterday.

Yay!! Thanks Neil.

Very flavorful, I like the name. Not a lot of druid-focused items, so that got points in my book. The mechanics feel like they could be a little tighter.

Yep, that feedback came through from multiple folks. I tried to address a fair bit of it in a rewrite buried somewhere in the middle of the thread. Thanks for stopping by to comment on my item, Lilith...and for being the first one to let me know I'd made Top 32. ;-)
