New Star Wars Lego sets based off the clone wars are out, yea.
There's a new Julie Czerneda book out. Now I just have to scrape together some money so I can buy it.:)
Getting a game of D&D in tonight.

You know what makes me happy? I may not agree with his politics, but Obama getting elected makes me happy. I'm quite proud of my country right now, frankly. We have a very tulmultuous history of racial divisions, distrust and outright hatred, and right now, I feel like, for the first time in my life, we may be able to put that all to bed and focus on the real.
:)
Back in 2006, I absolutely LOVED the "Mad World" trailer for the first Gears of War. This was a commercial that consistently gave me goosebumps, and made me excited for a game on a system I didn't (and still don't) even own.
This last weekend I was watching TV, and I heard one of my favorite songs from one of my favorite indie rock bands (Devotchka) come on during the commercials of a football game. I look up and see -- sure enough -- the new trailer for Gears of War 2.
(you can hear the whole song on Devotchka's MySpace)
To crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women.

That, too.

Since we are talking about "little stuff that makes you happy", are you saying that little hookers make you happy and/or little blows make you happy? Just checking...
Sebastian wrote: Hookers.

That combination got me a ten year Fed sentence.
But, man, what memories...
The warmth of Sebastian's smile. :)
The little things (lately) that make me happy would have to be:
- The company taking me out for a lunch I could never afford on a student's salery. mmm...40$ perfectly-cooked medium-rare fillet mignon...mmm...
- Walking through an art store. I'm not entirely sure why, but just looking at all the cool pens and pencils and paints and sketchbooks just makes me happy. Especially wierd since I'm in engineering, not art. Now if I could only find some way to go into one of those stores and not buy something that i will invariably not use much. (Although the last visit yielded a new, very portable sharpener for my 2mm pencils that is just perfect and solved a dilemma I was having. and it was only .90$. awesome)
- Having "White Rabbit" play on the radio.
- Looking at a squad of 40K figures you just finished painting.
- That new comic smell...hey, today's wednesday! YAY!

When Conan is right, he's right.
For me, though, the smell of ink on a new RPG book or magazine does make me happy.
I'm sure the fumes are toxic. I don't care. :)
Finishing drawings and assembling pewter minis. A killing a PC every now and then.
-Healthy family.
-Healthy friends.
-Caring and compassion from people you don't know.
Ok, now that the sappy stuff is done . . . .
-making saving throws
-confirming critical threats
-being an important part of the party
-disrupting the DM's plans for PC aggravation
-gaming with friends!

I hate all commercials...
Except that one! I love that commercial so much. Of course, part of that might be that Donnie Darko has forever infused that song with epic amounts of cool.
Lil' Fakey makes me happy!
TMI? Tough, you asked.

Why are there so many threads with opportunities to "S/\/\urf"?
Having a spectacularly crappy day at work, only to have it washed away by a great game session where everybody is on the ball and the dice are hot.
A cup of hot cocoa on a cold and rainy day.
Feeling my kid's foot move in my wife's belly, it's pretty amazing to me.
Our little puppy woke me up this morning by sitting on my chest and giving me one little lick on the nose. =)
Know that a sick day is coming and spend it laying in bed with a hot cup of tea and drawing all day! -making the best out of a bad situation ;)-

Dec. 6th is just around the corner...
Being in mortgage lending in this market and still getting a paycheck.
(Or is that a big thing?)
Being reminded that there are "little", good things going on no matter how bad things are.
Callous Jack wrote: Dec. 6th is just around the corner... That is soon. Is this the first "mini" Jack?

All the recent posts are making me want to have a family. It must be incredibly scary cool to have a kid on the way. Maybe I can rent some from the state to try out to see if I like it.
Congrats and virtual Cohibas for everyone to celebrate baby Jack’s upcoming b-day.
