Okay, I've added some kegs, torches, and knives to the map. I will upload a new version soon.
I'm going to say that tables and chairs are two-handed weapons. I guess you could swing a chair one-handed but they are bloody heavy, aren't they.
Could we get initiative rolls for each character please. Team with the lowest combined initiative will get to choose which door they enter from.
Invisible castle for all rolls please.

Updated map.
What toolset are you using to produce that, Tarren?
Poor me is stuck with Photoshop, as you can probably tell!

I'm using photoshop. ;-)

Btw, all, let's make this entertaining. Even though it would be much more effective to hit that guy, possibly dealing 6 ot 7 damage, throw a 2 damage beer bottle, make it interesting. No one will look back and say, "yeah, he punched a guy to death" (well... they might) but they will certainley remember how Lil Jake cut a guys knees with a smashed beer bottle, or when Misthing upended a table and its contents onto someone. They'll look back and say "Yeah, I respect that guy, cause he knows how to really fight."

Looks like the Leaping Monkeys are going to decide which door to come in. The Conniving Frogs get second choice.
I've got one more touch up to do on the map and I'll make a thread for this tonight.
Is everyone cool with each other's stats? I will look at them again but hope no one minds if others take a look and make sure they are legal.
This is going to be fun.

Agreed. If we just run up to each-other and just punch eachother to death, this will get old fast.
Also, your point buy seems to be based on regular D&D point-buy, not Pathfinder. I'll repost them here, mainly because I'm just impatient.

While I'm here, don't forget the +2 bonus to one stat for being human.

How tall are the tables? Can a monk of diminutive stature (ahem) use them for cover while still attacking?
Conversely, this will determine the DC for jumping on them to gain the high ground whilst attacking.
The tables are 2 and 1/2 feet tall. I think I gave a DC for jumping up to the tables, which took into account unsteadiness and spilled drinks.

I've given everyone's sheet a once over but please feel free to look at each others. I hope no one minds but this is intended, in part, to be a bit of a playtest and we are all new to PRPG more or less.
I could be wrong on the following but these are my notes:
Jakie:
add improved unarmed strike somewhere?
note hit points on char. sheet?
Ilil:
CMB of +5? ... You didn't take agile maneuvers, did you?
Tallis:
There are no wind instruments in this bar. ;-)
Note your CMB somewhere?
Drunk Monk:
I think you should get some more points. Assuming you put your +2 for being human on strength, you have spent 11 points.
Strength 16 (becomes 14 costs 5)
Dexterity 14 (costs 5)
Constitution 10 (costs 0)
Intelligence 8 (costs -2)
Wisdom 14 (costs 5)
Charisma 8 (costs -2)
Note your CMB somewhere?
Misthing
I think you only spent 22 points. Please check.
Note your CMB somewhere?
"Grapple +0" is no longer needed
Gunnom
Note your CMB somewhere?

I've tried to create a game thread 'Six Monks Bar' ... it has yet to appear. I will post the following rule summary in it when it appears.
Found Weapons:
Table leg: 1d6* Crit×2 — 2 lb. Bludgeoning
Chair leg: 1d4* Crit×2 — 1 lb. Bludgeoning
Sharp Chair leg: 1d4 Crit×2 — 1 lb. Bludgeoning
Pewter beer stein (thrown): 1d4* Crit×2 10 ft. 1 lb. Bludgeoning
Ceramic beer keg (thrown): 1d8* Crit×2 10 ft. 3 lb. Bludgeoning -- Two-handed weapon***
Knives: 1d4 Crit19-20/×2 10 ft. 1 lb. Piercing or slashing
Chair: 1d6* ** Crit×2 10 ft. 3 lb. Bludgeoning -- Two-handed weapon***
Table: 1d8* ** Critx2 10 ft. 6 lb. Bludgeoning -- Two-handed weapon***
* The weapon deals nonlethal damage rather than lethal damage.
** The chair becomes unusable after doing 6 points of damage and table becomes unusable after doing 8 points of damage.
*** "Throwing a light or one-handed weapon is a standard action, while throwing a two-handed weapon is a full-round action.
Breaking a table or chair to gain a weapon is a standard action and requires doing 4 points of damage to the chair or 6 points of damage to the table. No attack roll is necessary.
"Any creature that uses an improvised weapon in combat is considered to be nonproficient with it and takes a –4 penalty on attack rolls made with that object." (PRPG p. 100)
Some acrobatics checks you might end up making:
Running along the bar: DC 7
Running along the railing (between the raised area at the front and the main room): DC 15
Move through a threatened area 15 + opponent’s base attack bonus
Move through an enemy’s space 20 + opponent’s base attack bonus
Jumping from table to table (due to tippiness and beer puddles):
5 feet 7
10 feet 12
15 feet 17
20 feet 22
Greater than 20 feet +5 per 5 feet
Jumping from floor to table: DC 12
If you fail this check by 4 or less, you can attempt a DC 20 Ref lex save to grab hold of the other side
after having missed the jump. If you fail by 5 or more, you fail to make the jump and fall (or land prone, in the case of a
vertical jump). Creatures with a base land speed above 30 feet receive a +4 racial bonus on Acrobatics checks made to jump
for every 10 feet of their speed above 30 feet.
One more houserule: Picking up an object counts as 'drawing a weapon' (replaces a move action). However, even if you have a BAB of +1, you can not pick up a table as a free action.
Draw or Sheathe a Weapon
Drawing a weapon so that you can use it in combat, or
putting it away so that you have a free hand, requires
a move action. This action also applies to weapon-like
objects carried in easy reach, such as wands. If your
weapon or weapon-like object is stored in a pack or otherwise
out of easy reach, treat this action as retrieving
a stored item.
If you have a base attack bonus of +1 or higher, you may
draw a weapon as a free action combined with a regular
move. If you have the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, you
can draw two light or one-handed weapons in the time it
would normally take you to draw one.
1. Mr Fweng's School of the Conniving Frog
-Drunk Monk 18
-Tallin 12
2.Leaping Monkey School
-Gunnom 13
-Ilil - 16
3. Noisy Cricket School
-Misthing Gosmack 12

Leaping Monkey School -Ilil - 16

The Conniving Frog -Tallis 12

Ooo-ooo-ooo-ooo-aaa-aaa-aaa-aaa!
My vote is the Leaping Monkey School enters from the south doors so as to have the high ground. I'll let my partner cast his vote on that.
PS. Are we going to PbP in here, or will there be a thread set up?
South entrance is good for me.
Are we going in first, or according to Initiative?
It seems like I am in another timezone, appart from the rest of you. I hope that does not cause too many problems.
But normally I should be online every day.

Jal Dorak wrote:I think we are going second, so our plan has been revealed and may be pirated.Lowest combined initiative gets to choose the entrance. I thought that was fair. So, Gunnom and Ilil are choosing first.
Cool. As soon as you give the word we can begin. We'll be coming in the south doors as discussed.

Well, technically, it just looks like he hasn't changed his stats yet.

![]() |

I did it online (invisible castle, i don't have much experience with this build stuff, usually do 4d6-1), is it one point for stat = 1 build point?
Each stat starts at 10. You get 24 points. Based on going from 10 to the desired stat:
.7 = +4 points
8 = +2 points
9 = +1 points
10 = 0 points
11 = -1 points
12 = -2 points
13 = -3 points
14 = -5 points
15 = -7 points
16 = -10 points
17 = -13 points
18 = -17 points
Add racial modifiers (in your case +2 to any one score) after you spend all your points.

In this game, posting out of order may allow an opponent to take advantage of what you have said you are doing. It will speed up the game, but no "take-backs" if it is to your disadvantage. ;-)
I hope we can all try to post regularly. I'd like to keep this fast enough to be interesting and memorable.
I will try to summarize the battle after each round.
Please post your position in out-of-character commentary so that we can keep track of you and update the maps.
Objects picked up will disappear from the map (except chairs and tables which will be moved). You should remember what you are holding.
