However, she actually would skin you and wear you as a cloak...if you were a gorillion.

(This was a quirk that James added to Zulshyn. She'd get this daydreamy reaction when thinking about the beauty and majesty of a gorillion....hide)

I remember reading that part... that's what made me think of it. 'Couse, I was tired when I thought, "hmm... I could put a word bubble up here," so it's not my A-list material.

Glad you like it, and I hope the final version's close to what you guys expected!

HA! Cool! Yeah; Zulshyn may have never had a proper description posted to any of those threads, but that's pretty close! She did have a swanky girallion hide cloak, though, that let here dimension door (she saved another party member who'd been swallowed by a tyrannosaurus by jumping into its mouth, letting it swallow her too, and then she grabbed the unconscious PC in the dino's gut and dimension doored to safety... it was cool). Actually, I think she may have carved out one of that tyrannosaurus's teeth and turned it into a necklace or something.

But yeah, otherwise looks awesome!! :) Yay!

Sweet! Thanks! I'll see if I've got another Zulshyn piece hiding away in me, but in the meanwhile, just pretend she left her cloak at home. :) And she is wearing a necklace with teeth on it there, though they're a bit small to be T-Rex teeth.

Expect a special visit from Zulshyn sometime next week at the office. ;)

Excited to see what you come up with, Hugo!

Who else is giving it a try?

Here you go Kessu:

The Dancing Top Hat and other Golarion head wear

I drew it "standing still" and drew a set so it may be useful for other people as well. I hope its ok with you.

I hope you like it!

Note: Current projects: Still oworking on Kemkepi and a Special request from Daigle. Timitus challenge will detour me a bit, but I promise tho make it up to you guys for prolonging the wait... Also the "surprise" project its quite advanced already and when that its out of the way, the rest of the projects will mve faster. Forecast: Kempkepi, Daigle and Mr. Jacobs character ready on the weekend.

Again...sorry for the delays, I'll make it up for u guys!!!

Yay! Gary the dancing Top Hat lives! Would've been better to see the dancing action, but I'm not going to second guess a free drawing, and I do rather like the set of headwear you did, a staple of fashion that I feel is much overlooked in fantasy gaming. And I am loving the Explorer's hat. It is SO stylish!

(There's a typo in your description unless you mean it to be a Boble's Tophat...and in that case, what's a Boble?)

Anyhow, great work. Can't wait to see what's next.

So I should expect kristine in about ohhh say 3 years? le sigh...

Nice headgear by the way, very cool

Boble: Corrected :D

Kessu, send me a not with how you want it to be dancing (legs, movement gesture, etc) and I'll be ready in 30 mins.

LKL: Make that 4 years! ;)

Thanks for the kind words!

Y'know, I just realized that it looks like Gary is Golarion headware, according to your description. I love it. entire groups of people now wearing dancing tophats. pretty soon, fasionable Taldoran wizards will use them for familiars, and then, their integration into history will be complete.

Muahahahahahaha!

...sorry. got caught up in the idea that it's not just top-hats that are the standard, but dancing ones.

Dragonborn3: The dragon motif armor is almost finished.

I'm kinda procrastinating on Terin (part 2) and Black, partly because I have close to no time, and partly because I'm afraid to screw them up. Aside from that, I'm working on two tattoo commissions, one comic-style painting, and compiling a portfolio, so things are going to be slower than usual. Sorry guys.

Thanks! The pen sketches usually look pretty crappy, but at 600 DPI they look extra crappy without some editing going on. Ben performs his Photoshop magic and makes the lines look all pretty, then we sit and hash out the different colors using vague terminology like "make it yellowish brown-green with a little more black... can we get some purple in there?" and somehow the Photoshop gremlins explode it into awesome.

Also: this final version is in CMYK instead of RGB, so the colors are printer-friendly (accidential conversions to RGB, as I did with some later posts of the image, look more monitor-friendly, IMHO, but I may be covering up my own stupidity).

Hey guys, you know that "secret projects" that has kept me busy for the las week+? here's a second/last teaser!!!

Super not-so-secret poroject

With this I pretty much give away the subject! Mwahahaha

Note: This is a fabricated teaser, the colors and layout are NOT final. My part in this project its will finalize today. Now its on the hands of another trusted artist...

Hey Mr. Shiny how is Cephalus coming along?

Haven't started yet- I've been preparing for a portfolio review on Sunday (might be going to college, finally!). Once I've finished with Terin and Black, Cephalus will be up next.

On the plus side, your dragon-motif armor is done- it just needs to be uploaded onto DeviantArt.

Shadow Lodge

Wow I didn't know you had even started on it!
Good luck with college!

I'll need it- I'm still not there by a long shot. I still need a bit more money, and I need to submit my portfolio, hence the need to get it checked out before actual submission. If all goes well, I'll be able to get into the 2009 fall semester.

Good luck, Shiny! Once you get in, you can certainly start looking at ways to pay for college. Hopefully there will be people in the Financial Aid department of your school that can help you with that.

Quick word to you, Hugo:

Thank you for your efforts in drawing the Gatherer for me. Morag officially made at least one player jealous. I was pleased by the responses of my group and referred to you as the frog to thank. Your work made a major impact.

Coooooooooooool.

I would like to publicially thank N'wah for the amazing work he did for me and my group. The Mini's where exceptional, giving us all a great deal of pleasure.

That said, as much as i love Elspeth, it seems that the game in which i was playing her has collapsed perminantely. So, i find me self with a new character, playing the same adventure and feeling both really good about a cool new character and sad not to be playing the queen of spiders(devargo was just warming the seat ;) )

I am now playing...

Dr. Titus Crow(ok i didn't realise i had stolen the name of one of Brian Lumley's protagonists until two sessions into the campaign. To late to change it now :) )

Appearance: A gaunt man, almost unnaturally tall. He dresses in the tailed coat, waist coat, shirt and breachs of a taldan gentleman, usually dyed in very dark blacks and greens. This, combined with his long black hair, which is kept in a pony tail, give the good doctor the slight look of a giant carrion bird. He often walks with a stick, which he has been known to club creatures to death with, and when setting out to do battle wears a longsword on his left hip. His left thumb bears a rune encrusted ring made form Lunargent(alchemicially perfected silver.) Other prized personal possessions include his violin and his Plague doctors mask.

Visually, Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Steerpike in the bbc adaption of Gormenghast is an exilent guide

Insperation: Sherlock homes, Dr. Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein and John Constantine.

Brief history: Dr. Crow is a chellish man in his early twenties. From the burgening middle class he studied medician in korvosa. That was until he had an unfortunate experience. Shiver. The addiction set in quickly, taking its toll on his health and sanity. His studies where ruined before he broke free of the addiction with the help of his lover at the time, Tinia Sabor. He did manage to aquire his title of doctor, but with his reputation in tatters, it is unlikely he will ever be able to develope wealthy clients.
During his recovery, Dr. Crow took to study as a way of escaping his need for shiver. Through sheer intellect and will power, the young man was able to teach him self the foundermental principles of Necromancy from various books.

Now he stalks the streets of the poorist districts of the city, using his keen perception, medicial skills and arcane knowledge, to alliviate illness and act as a protector to those who are defenceless against the strange things that lurk in the night.

If any one would like to draw Doctor Titus Crow, i would love to see what you come up with, it is always nice to

Kemkepi is DONE! I'm just waiting for a chance to use the office scanner and touch it up (in more than one way ;) ) and voila!. It will be up today lastest around 2-4 pm.

In the meantime you can check a nice(grotesque) Savant aboleth I uploaded yesterday. I also uploaded 3 maps in the Scraps gallery in case someone may find them usful.

linky!

Scarab Sages

Well, I don't really "get" the great Shaboath and I don't have a reason (yet) to use Scaly Port, but The Kingdom of Vallurias will definately come in handy seeing as my mapping ability is right on par with my naming ability. I'll be sure to grab any other maps like this you put up. Good work.

kessukoofah wrote:

Good point... it doesn't have any leads on what it its. I wrote a bit more on it description to flesh it out a bit.

And FINALLY!!!! here you go Flash_cxxi

KemKepi, female osirion tomb raider

BTW: the black in the eyes are makeup shades! not lack of sleeping ;)

NEXT: Ayeda and a personal project for Daigle. The big project that got me delayed will be posted by the end of the week. Stay tuned!

On a personal note: I'm very satisfied with this one, but I had to draw like 7 sketches to get the pose... I'm getting tired of standing pose, I would like to go into a more "active" pose.

I hope yo like it Flash!!!

That there is some fine drawing Hugo. Very nice. Now, is it just me or do you seem to do a lot of Osirions? and everybody is physically fit...hmm...I think I may have to ask you to do an old, rotund Andoran merchant with a crutch due to a withered (or missing) leg and a Prostetic arm swatting away some kids who are trying to steal from his/her booth. at some point. in the far future. Due to your already massive backlog.

Or if anyone else wants to they can feel free to. I mostly put it there to joke with Hugo, but feel free if you choose to.

That's exactly why I only allowed 1 osirion on the female thread. I'd love to draw deformed-ugly-monster PCs!

Yeah! That's why The Ugly is so awesome!

I think a lot of people like their characters to look attractive/awesome, like you'll turn your head and say, "wow, whatta badass" when they walk by. Personally, I think a ugly brute of a dude can look pretty cool, but I like my attractive/fit characters as well.

Hugo, you should save your next batch for unattractive/monster PCs. The scarred half-orc, the doughty cleric of Cayden Cailien, the goblin snake sorcerer... I'm curious to see what people have got going on there!

I agree 100% with you N'wah, and I think I'll do that for the next commissions.

Jason, I have 1 chelaxian cleric on line and I'm really looking forward to draw it! Maybe also a culture relate guideline would be nice. I'm also looking foward to draw a keleshite.
