Best Adventure: Gold (Pathfinder #1)
Best Monster/Adversary: Gold (Classic Monsters Revisited)
Paizo's cleaning up. Part of me wonders if there was a bit of ballot stuffing going on, and then another part of me wants to celebrate since these are EN World awards, and that hasn't exactly been the most Paizo-friendly place lately...
Edit: And even the Silver winner in Adventures was written by Paizonians (Expedition to Castle Greyhawk).

A quote from the Critical Hits page:
"Paizo winner's song is some crazy munchkin song about candy. WotC's song is the Imperial March."
Note: One can assume this is referring to WoTC winning a Gold for the Star Wars: Saga ruleset....not a clever inference. I think...then again I have no idea whom I am quoting.

10 nominations in 8 categories, plus Best Publisher, resulting in 7 Gold and 1 Silver ENnies. I think this is the record for most in one year.
Wow, thanks Kvantum for your prescient posting. I am absurdly happy. Congratulations, Paizo staff! I think I will get up and fetch an ale for myself in your honor!

I really do not intend to sound snarky here...but did 4e win anything? Seems as though WotC was represented by Star Wars pretty well. And the D&D stuff was pre 4e was it not? I voted so long ago I can't remember what 4e was nominated for.
I'm also thinking I may have to check out Changeling: The Lost. They did pretty well too.

4e wasn't nominated for anything -- it came out too late to qualify.

Nice to see them clean house. Wonder if WotC is in any way perturbed a touch.
WotC did actually tie with Paizo overall in numbers, though not as many Golds. 5 Gold, 3 Silver. Of course two of those were for products at least in part written by now-Paizonians, so... Maybe.

Nothing 4e was nominated (http://www.ennieawards.com/08/08noms.pdf). I don't know what the deadline was, but publishers have to submit products for consideration, and I am guessing that 4e didn't come out in time. I think it will figure heavily next year, at least in the nominations.
WotC's awards were for Star Wars: Saga Edition, Elder Evils, the Drizt/White Dragon mini pack, Confessions of a Part-time Sorceress, and EttRoG.

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations! But we couldn't have done it without you! The ENnies are an awards by the fans and we couldn't have gotten any of these awards without the dedication and commitment of you guys! Yeah, I know that I am using lots of !!!!! in my post. I am a bit excited! :)
When we won the award for Best Publisher, I got a little misty eyed up on stage. It was just a year ago that we were releasing the last copies of Dragon and Dungeon and Paizo had a very uncertain future. But we poured our hearts and souls into our products and y'all have kept us in business by buying our products, evangelizing us to the uninitiated, and in short, helping us have the best year we have ever had. To defeat such stalwarts as White Wolf, Wizards of the Coast, and Green Ronin in the Best Publisher award speaks volumes for how far we have come in a single year.
I just wanted to take this moment to thank all of the incredible staff at Paizo who make my life SO much easier by making all the great products that we all enjoy. I always say that the key to success is surrounding yourself with great people, and I have some of the best ever at Paizo!
Likewise, you can't succeed without having awesome customers and y'all are some of the best I have ever seen in my 20+ years in this crazy industry. You make coming to work a real joy for me and my staff. Thank you!
Here's to an even better second year!
