Sooooooooo..... when is the celebratory podcast????

Thank you so much, guys. For appreciating our efforts, for voting, and most importantly for being good friends. I wouldn't have a podcast without you. I don't mean to be country star humble there. It's just a fact.

Derek, yes indeed, your powers of prognostication were certainly greater than my own. I bow to thee.

Kajehase, I don't really hate tea. It was just a bit. ;)

Well, we sort of celebrate on the one I just uploaded, but the real celebration will probably come in AA 45.

For an ENnie winner, our broken mike in Indy problems are making us sound a bit like Atomic Crap. Note for next time: Bring better back-ups!

Or you could just say it real quiet and I'll shout it out like the big mechanic in Road Warrior; it'll give me something to do.

And I don't really think you're a fleabag (that was also only a bit) but maybe I should, seeing as you didn't deny that part? ;)

The ENnies were a treat. I've never been, and I underestimated how nice it would be to see so many industry people rooting for each other.

The star? Sarah Something-or-Another...

Congrats, Guys. It was a great weekend made even better by getting to finally meet the two of you in person. Thanks so much for being part of the fun.

May there be more fun with less painkillers next time. :) It was delightful to finally meet you in person as well. And thanks yet once again for giving me a copy of your DS9 script! Geek paradise over here!

Humble request.....could we please change the name of this thread to "Please Witness the Ennie Award Winning Atomic Array?"

Self flagged for attention whoring purposes.

But do you charge yourself for your whoring? And if so, how much do you charge yourself? Is it just a bag of cheesy poofs?

:)

Ed took the award plaque home. I took the award medal. Oh sure, my late grandfather's five medals from the Navy in WWII sit on my shelf, but did he win an ENnie? Did he? Well he probably would have if he had a mind to. Nevermind.

Leave it to me to find existential complexity in something that's just supposed to make me grin for a few days, but I figured out last night that what was personally so strange about winning the awards is that time won't reverse itself and strip them away from me (the ENnies Morality Committee might still get to it though). I always feel like I'm climbing on the way to summmits from which I get so easily get sidetracked. Life is about the journey, sure, but we're led along with the promise of reaching eventual destinations. Something as simple as winning an award feels like I've actually arrived somewhere and it leaves me stunned and overjoyed but a bit restless for the open road since hiking is all I really know. That make any sense? Or maybe it's that milestones are made of cold granite and you can't sit on them for long without getting piles. Yeah, that's got to be it. ;)

I'd buy me for a dollar.

Here's a Facebook video of Ed accidentally assaulting a minor on the streets of Indy.

This video had everyone dying at con. I think Ed may need an eye exam, just to be safe.

Glad I figured out what was going on before they shipped Healy off in a paddywagon. Do they still have paddywagons? What's that poor girl, 13 or 14?

Rone and I had our first post-Gen Con interview today. New episode coming... soooooooooon.

The things we have to do for you mouth breathers. It leaves me a little dirty on the inside, but what's important that you - our fans - are satisfied. Quid pro quo -- especially on the fan servicing. Venture me some.

How does one pronounce your name?

"Roon Bartoon"?

"Roonay Bartoon"?

Whatever sound you can muster when fanservicing is acceptable. I like to give some latitude for your platitudes.

taig wrote:

It's actually pronounced frog-hum-purr.

Röne Bartön wrote:

Hmm... perhaps you are actually me. How else would you know that those trying to say my name during such servicing are lucky to even get a mumff out? Usually all I hear from them is the marble mouthed syllables of pained pleading as their jaws lock. That's why I always carry a black scab speckled saw with me. Ol' Trusty.

I was surprised when he started up his own line of designer cutting, piercing and hammering tools, but they've been selling off the shelves at Home Depot.

Just finished listening (It's my unofficial laundry-folding/digital painting podcast).

Aural Egoists, eh? I love it when names turn out with nice neat anagrams. My personal favorite: Mark Allan Walters = Lawmakers All Rant.

I needed to buy new sneakers while I was in Italy. You think they're outlandish in the US? Seriously, everyone you see on the streets there is in metallic gold, pink, yellow, or whatever other Sebastian-inspired color is popular that week. Now whenever we see sneakers in absurd colors, we say, "I wonder if they got those in Italy".

Seriously, I don't know how the country famous for handmade leather dress shoes is full of some of the ugliest sneakers on the planet.

Thanks for that new knowledge, my globetrotting friend. I had no idea.

And as for how a country famous for handmade leather dress shoes has such garish sneaks? They are also the birthplace of gaudy/Gaudi, after all. ;)

Gaudi wasn't Catalan?

And I'm really tempted to make an etymological comment, but I think I've been pedantic enough in this post already.

Yes, he was. After posting I realized I'd erred, but I thought, maybe it'll slide by. But NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! ;)

Not with The Mairkurion. :)

Caught up on two episodes of AA this week (I skipped 44 to listen to the GenCon reports). The Cooler was indeed a great movie, especially
[spoiler]since it was a noirish film throughout, I completely expected William Macy's character to have a less-than-happy ending. I was pleasantly surprised.[/ooc]

Emu Love Volume surpasses the Weird Al song.

As usual, I liked both episodes. Great stuff.

Congrats again on the Gold Ennie!

Thanks, The Taig!

I really liked The Cooler as well. For another luck based film, check out Intacto. The opening scene alone is worth the rental.

Nostradamus said the day would never come! But what did that dead idiot know anyway? Episode 46 of Atomic Array defies augury with its arrival!
