So do you sit ont he computer all day with Paizo open to respond to specific threads? Like the rest of us

Oddly enough, it seems that I have a knack for opening the Paizo page mere moments after someone responds to something I've written. If that's a sixth sense, it's not all that cinematic, is it?

I guess I do check in a lot. I do a lot more reading than writing here, though I'm far too blabby to ever earn lurker status. ;)

I lurked for almost two years.

Then I posted like hell.

Then I saw Heathanson's post count and calmed down.

Yeah, but I thought maybe this was done partly for effect. I found it effective, anyway.

Ed, I second everything you say about Ghost in the Shell, with emphasis! Yeap, it's all about the question: What does it mean to be human? I'd extend your endorsement of the film to the entire franchise (films and series), although I've avoided seeing the viewer's digest versions of the series. Altogether, one of my top anime picks. It's been awhile since I watched them all, but my memory says I liked the Stand Alone Complex best. I always wondered if Blade Runner influenced the creation of GitS. I also wonder why the English title is so much better than the Japanese.

I could have done an entire hour on how Ghost in the Shell influenced The Matrix, alone. It's truly a seminal work.

Another great show, guys!

I will have to check out Ghost in the Shell. My anime viewing has been very sparse.

Congrats to Flash and Mr. Shiny for their excellent ghost stories.

And, please, make sure you hold up a sign when you're trying to be funny. :)

Thanks, Taig. :)

Improvising jokes is like quick draw. You may not hit exactly what you're aiming at, but wait too long and the opportunity is dead. Like the way I just made my flaw seem somehow manly by associating it with old west heroism? I'm tricky like that.

<Whistles innocently>

Hint: it's the weird sort of jarring word transition right after the part they censored out. Wait, that's not a hint...

Yeah, thanks for that big book (on tape) of obscenities for Xmas, Shiny. ;)

I tried, bro. I tried. <G> As Mairkurion guessed, some of my deletion and censoring was to convey, for comedic effect, just how foulmouthed your entry was.

Congrats on two wins in a row. Yer dangerous, kid. Dangerous!

Well, too late. Back when I lived in the Duchy of Urnst I met the Binklesteins, a married ogre couple both suffering from fairly severe OCD. When they slaughtered adventurer/trespassers they separated all the many body parts and gave each type its own ziploc baggie. I remember sitting on a big red bean bag chair in their living room and they gasped in embarrassment. Turns out it was just one of their giant size ziplocs full of bloody hearts that they forgot to finish stowing away in the cool root cellar for winter stews to come. I was cool with it, but man you never knew ogres could blush so brightly. Now they have their special challenges, to be sure, but so do we all, and ever since they moved next door I've seen a local drop off in home invasions.

As I expected you would. The s&&@ty editing I was referring to was on MY end.

During the recording, I tripped over my words, and rather than re-recording it, I kept going. Afterwards, I cut the mistake out and spliced the ends of the remaining audio tracks together, leading to a weird *hiccup* effect.

I got that you meant your own editing, but I was admitting that my attempts to correct your audio left behind it a whole new set of brutal cuts. It's a frankenentry anyway you slice it. ;)

It's from the last thread page...

Jade dun say:

"Nothing is more entertaining than when people let it all hang out. Sometimes the things that seem too embarrassing to mention in public are the very things that pull others closer to us, rather than drive them away.

Except of course when you admit to taking carnal advantage of a rutting hippo after the zoo closes at night. Society gets all judgy about that kind of thing. I blame the hippo lobby."

That's going to be my epitaph, CJ.

I used to be a complete addict. I've got over three thousand little bits of cardboard in a box in my closet. I could probably pay tuition for the next two years if I sold them all. Too bad I'm sentimental.

What universe do you live in? It seems part Matrix and part world of Greyhawk. Very cool but in a warped and stranglet sort of way.
