I hope you folks who are voting are all KQ buyers—it would be a bad thing if folks were stuffing Wolfgang's ballot boxes without an intent to purchase the products they're voting for.
Vic, of course we buy KQ. What respectable gamer doesn't?
I can see where you're coming from, though, with the whole Valeros tee-shirt thing.

My biggest question is this... Wolfgang, if WotC's 4e rules prohibit having both 3.x and 4e stuff in it, is it possible that you might start a second magazine strictly devoted to 4e? I want 3.5p to succeed, but I also feel that we as gamers need 4e to succeed too. I would be willing to buy two seperate mags to help out both.

Not that anyone hasn't thought of this, yet, or said it, but WotC already has their on-line thingamabob -- I forget what they call it.
Meanwhile, D&D players have lost Dragon and need something to take its place.
Wolf, if you go Pathfinder D&D then both groups of gamers have a product to buy: KQ for Pathfinder and/or WotC-online for 4E.
...If you go WotC for KQ then there is no replacement for the mag.

I'm kicking my ass about that one too.

Same here. I have every issue of Dungeon magazine, except one! :-( I suspect my Kobold Quarterly collection may suffer a similar fate.
I have purchased the last two issues of Kobold Quarterly. It's not quite a replacement for Dragon magazine .. yet .. but I definitely like where it's heading!
Voted for Pathfinder :-)

Hmm, this KQ mag looks promising. I haven't seen it at any of the bookstores I frequent, so I have a few questions that I would like to have answered by readers rather than by marketing...
In terms of content and quality, how does KQ compare to the printed Dragon and Dungeon mags that Paizo formerly published?
Is it comprised of more DM-specific content like Dungeon, more general-use info like Dragon or some combination of both?
Being a quarterly publication, is it substantially "beefier" than a single issue of Dragon/Dungeon (counting pages w/ content, not including pages w/ advertising) or is it roughly the same?
Is KQ available at any newstands or is it a direct-buy-only publication? Here in Charlotte, NC we have Borders and Barnes & Noble — the one LGS is awful (I refuse to shop there due to the attitudes of the employees) and there's maybe a handful of comic shops. Any other types of resellers You can think of where I might look over an issue in person?

I got in on 3 and Wolfgang ran out of the early subscriber item.. so he sent me a coupon to get a discount on back issues.. but 1 and 2 were sold out.. so the coupon.. well yeah.
I keep an eye on ebay for 1 and 2 but no luck.

KQ has a colour cover, black and white interior. Less page-count than Dragon, and it's quarterly instead of monthly. But from humble beginnings, great things grow ...
The content appears to be about the same mix as Dragon was, most of the content is useful to GMs, with some character-relevant content that might appeal to players.
My opinions only, YMMV.
Cheers :-)

Yeah, the content is friendlly for multiple systems much of the time too. It should also be noted that the page count seems to be increasing bit by bit each issue, looking at the issues I've got at least.

If I start a second magazine, my wife will kill me. Seriously, I'd need to hire someone to help out, because there's Just No Way that I can produce a second magazine by myself.
And right now, KQ needs lots of attention.

*ahem* i think you got people here happy to help.

Hmm, well maybe we could all afford to if some other publication wasn't sucking 20 dollars a month out of our already stretched budgets, huh, you ever think of that, huh do ya? yeah, didn't think so.
Seriously I've only got Pathfinder 1-4 right now and am trying to get RotR finished before start of darkness so I can subscribe to you guys, and I really want to get kobold quarterly too but I just bought a house and so I don't know if I can, I do know that if they support pathfinder then I'll get it once we are truly settled in and I'm not replacing some other part of the house.

Good point. I'm a brand-new subscriber (May 31st), I hope other voters jump on and subscribe if they haven't already.

4E has a magazine. Dungeon and Dragon (At least someday maybe...you know, down the road. DDI. Holding my breath.)
