There are, undoubtedly, folks from Canada who order things from here. :) I would really like to pick up a subscription to the Pathfinder Companion series that is about to start (I could always just ask my FLGS to order them in, then I don't have to pay shipping and they're generally the same price - this is what I've been doing with other Pathfinder books I've wanted - but I feel like I should give Paizo some of my shekels directly for the great work they're doing with Pathfinder and Pathfinder RPG). However, what I don't want to do is give more money to my government (once they learn the value of a dollar I might change my mind ;). Anyway, on to my question... does anyone who gets things shipped from Paizo to a Canadian address ever have to worry about duty/customs/other border fees? I know these are out of the control of Paizo, so I thought I'd ask some of the faithful Canadian customers what their experiences have been.
Thanks!

IIRC originally (the very 1st pathfinder) the shipping label was marked as games and not books, and people did have to pay fees. Since then they made the code smarter, and it knows that pathfinder and other RPG books should be listed as books and not toys/games, and this prevents the majority of the fee issues.

I've been keeping my purchases small figuring that under $40 shipments wouldn't draw customs' attention. I figure combining the Companion and Modules subscriptions with the Pathfinder book should usually stay under my artificial limit.
Also it allows me to still support my LFGS by buying the Chronicles products through them.

When I buy something, how I know what will be the Canadian dollars cost?
Your credit card company calculates that based on their own currency conversion data sometime after we charge the card (we charge the card in US dollars, and your bank converts it to Canadian dollars), so it can't be precisely predicted ahead of time. However, you can use any of a number of online currency converters (such as this one at Yahoo! Finance) to at least make an estimate.
What it is the higher cost you pay without border fees?
Are you asking how high the value of the package can be before you're charged an import duty? We don't know—you'd have to check with Canada's customs department.
