Flicking his thumb up out of the inside of his closed fist to produce a light from the tip, he lights his cigar, then raises his hand to call over the barmaid. Surprisingly ordering mulled wine, instead of the usual dwarven ale, then settles back to look out the door waiting for the others to arrive.
If you click on your name you will get your profile. Actually since you have not created your profile you will get a blank page, but there is a link to create a profile. What you will want to do next is my account and then scroll to the box labeled aliases and then create alias. then on the alias's profile enter your character information.
Hozs is my alias from another pbp, but clicking on his profile will give an example of how to set things up.
T&S are getting married in two Saturdays and appear to not have been online. J&A are moving into a new apartment and their connection is spotty until then (if). I guess I am saying it may still be a while yet...

Got a hold of a couple of you this weekend so here is an update. Tony and Stacy got married Saturday (CONGRATULATIONS!) and will be leaving for a cruise shortly when they are back they will get online. Since I will be in UT for a week it may be the first week of July before things really begin to roll. Since the 1st of July is so close to the 4th of July I am expecting some of you will be unreachable so maybe a little longer. I will send Jake an email and see how his and Amber's apartment is coming.
In the meantime, the other characters are finished (I think). If you have any questions or want to begin sharing characters please do so.

General rolling info for the new folks:
I trust that you will not be rolling a million times and then giving me the best one. But I also assume that two of your siblings did not become adventurers so of the three sets of six; choose one. www.Invisiblecastle.com/roller is the online roller I have been using but any will be fine. Unless you are a cheater… O:)
Character Level: (pl is partly level) 1d4 1=pl-1, 2=pl (low) 3=pl (high), 4=pl+1. You can also just choose party level and ignore this part (6th level). I should have dropped this roll for the pbp, but everyone else has had the option so too do you.
Stats: 6 4d6 (drop lowest) x3. That is roll three sets of all 6 attributes, I will choose one of them.
HD: max 1st, best of three for the remaining levels. (action points not used when you level up, can be burned to re roll HP).
Random magic: also should have been dropped, but everyone else has one so… 1d% and 1d12, x3. You can also buy magic appropriate for your level according to the DMG. These are random magic items that I have awarded for good RP. 3 will put you on par with the rest of the party.
How familiar are you with Savage Tide? The Isle of Dread? Any other general questions?

Welcome! Generally I say yes use Jaden, but some changes will need to happen:
3.5 not pathfinder, party level is 6th, free Savage Tide feat for a decent backstory (which Jaden has), action points, and Monkey Paw items (random magic). If he dies you will not be able to play a human or a fighter, but that is a loooong time off (I hope :) So the character of Jaden is fine, some re-statting might be in order. that would be fine as long as it fits in the monetary level for your level and in your backstory (if you are an olman native mithril plate is probably out of reach--unless of course it has been handed down from father to daughter to son to daughter for 1000's of years. :)

Mostly but the backstory should include some reason for being on a boat, or the isle itself (searching for lumber?) also change skills to 3.5 from pathfinder. O:)

Congrats on the scholarship! If you want to start setting up her character/avatar please go ahead. If not she will be hopelessly soggy and too disheveled for the first encounter or so... Hopefully this weekend will be the last for set up and the game can begin!

Work for residence halls for almost 10 years now. Lived/worked in the Halls for nearly 6. which is how I met Geshin. Been married for 11-12 years (got married on our first anniversary:) Been gaming since grade six (was it fourth?) after reading the Hobbit. My sign looks like a teapot, but is visible in the early evenings and I do a bit of stargazing.
Still 2 people needing some significant work. Minor stuff from almost everyone is needed, but I will post more on that tomorrow. I will say check feats everyone, especially the bonus feat for a backstory and the ff/tch ACs. We are close so I will give it another day or so and then begin.
Sorry for the hold up! I get a little landsick when I am away from sea too long. It just doesn't move right! (I will be working on getting everything setup - I will try to be all ready after tonight.)

I worked with him and played in his Savage Tide campaign all last year, and I have worked in close proximity to him (same department) for the past several years. It was so awesome gaming with him that I am going to give this long-distance DnD relationship a try :) Oh, and I am 22 years old, currently work for Apple ipod and CPU tech support, recently got married, and I moved back to my hometown of Boise Idaho this summer.

2. no this thread will be some of the out of character stuff (ooc) as well as non game stuff (do you want a Dr Pepper? *grin*) There will be an additional page, but I have not created it as we are not yet ready to go. Well I think we are now!
3. Jaden and I met on Fake Healer's pbp. While I will not be as good as Fakey, you can read the thread to get an idea of how pbp works: Hollows' Last hope. also there is an entire section of pbp here at paizo so here is that link. Also become familiar with the BBCode tags hidden in the spoiler button below.
4. Do NOT brown nose. Flattery will get you nowhere. Or it will. Maybe it will get you a +21 circumstance bonuses to all saves. I have not decided which. O:)
There are still a few touch ups on most of the characters. I will post those on my lunch and start the new thread this afternoon/evening.

The game mechanics isn't that specific. So, harpoon or spear, it doesn't make a difference.
I decided not to use weapon focus, because I think that requires more weapons training than Jas got. ;)

I am not sure what the rules say (I will look it up) but I would rule at least you are no longer a captain. Why? Did you lose a ship? *grin*
It is not normal that I will spell out your thoughts or your actions--that is up to you. But this adventure starts with a shipwreck and the party waking up on the beach and I was trying to set up that confusion or panic you might find. Please ask questions, either in character as if seeing the beach for the first time, or ask here out of character.
I am going to try and keep all my posts under X words as I tend to write too much, but feel free to take what space you want to. Also I am new to pbp so feel free to offer suggestions.
Now back to the story. Here is another little something that might help set the mood.
