I'm curious as to what adventures people are using to playtest.
Are you running Gamemaster Modules, Pathfinder APs or just writing your own material.
Unfortunately due to work and life I've found I don't have a whole lot of time to write my own adventures.
Just curious

Hey Trent!
The first episode we ran was the first Pathfinder AP - Rise of the Runelords. It was okay, but I had a little guy playing and the AP shifts to a darker aspect so I decided I'd save that for just the bigger kids.
Game 2 we ran Paizo's free Hollow's Last Hope. It's short, simple, allows for some good RPing and some good combat testing. Oh - and it's free - did I mention that? So, for 1st level characters and short DM prep time I highly recommend it.
Game 3 of our playtest will be River into Darkness. I've had the kids advance their characters to level 4 to play this one. One of the reasons I've done this is so we can experiment with different levels of power without having to game intensively in order to get to those levels, and #2, because I have a modules subscription and that is one of the ones I have. The other 2 modules I have are level 8 and level 11, and again, we'll advance the characters in between so we can test the characters at different game levels.
Anyways, I highly recommend Hollow's end, and I'm looking forward to the setting book for the area - it was a fun start.

I am starting with a couple of adventures from the free WOTC original adventures and then running some "City of the Spider Queen".
I'm thinking that a Pathfinder character should be able to go through adventurers recommended for one or two levels higher than their actual level.

We played "Home Under the Range" and "Fiends Embrace" with Alpha 1, and are half-way done with "Fiendish Footprints" under Alpha 2. All so far have been Dungeon 3.5 adventures.
We changed characters with Alpha 2, and will probably change again with Alpha 3, so I'm hoping to finish Fiendish Footprints and one more adventure before that happens.
For Beta, we're planning on running Curse of the Crimson Throne. Wish us luck!

Part of my old group and I had a little reunion game this weekend - and we are using the Alpha 2 rules. I ran the 'Whispering Cairn' in hopes that we can over the infrequent times we can get together I can do a blend of the Dungeon APs. I've been waiting to run these for so long, I did agonize because the RotRL was calling too.
They did very well, we finished about 90% of it over the weekend and they really like the new Pathfinder rules.

I'm planning on running my group through "Castle Whiterock". We created the players using Alpha 1, and I started running them through the prequel, but everybody really likes the Alpha 2 changes, so we'll be tweaking them before the next session (next Sunday).
I for one am really excited about the changes. Everyone in the group LOVES the new skill system and the changes that have been made (yes, even to the Sorcerer!)
This is the first time in well over a year that we're gaming and the first time in FOREVER that we're excited about it! Thanks, Jason, for putting some life back into the group!

We are being run through a custom set of adventures that take place on Ilosia, in the world of Dheneirth. this is a world we made as a group a few months ago.
Right now, we are working up to stopping an evil god who literally absorbs magic from being brought back. the PCs were a Gnome Wizard (Illusion), Elf Fighter(Agility things), Human Cleric (Nethys, Rune and Magic), Halfling Rogue (Sneaking fast and hard), and a Half-elf Ftr/Wiz. We had some die off, leave or turn when AR2 came out; now, it's a Gnome Wizard (still), Halfling Rogue (still), Half-Orc Druid (from the Ftr/Wiz player; H-O's have Drd asa FC), a Dwarf Paladin (from the Ftr player; Dwarves have -2 Dex, no Cha penalty), and a Human Sorcerer (Arcane, trying to figure out a better method of handling sorcerers, from the Clr player).

Since I got a lot of feedback... I guess its only fair to say what I've been doing. Currently we are running RotRL. We've added the Turning rules, and Grapple rules. I probably use Alpha2 for CotCT when I go to run that.
I'm thinking about running side games using Alpha2. I'll probably use the Gamemastery modules for this starting with Hollow's Last Hope. My group is currently about 6-8 people. I may run this stuff in two separate groups just to keep the group size lower.

Started in Burnt offerings right before Thistletop. Using everything but the skills from Alpha 1 now we will probably use all the rules for Alpha 2 for next weeks Battle deep inside Thistletop.
I like the rules so far and have enjoyed running them. Trying to choose whether to convert the NPCs to Alpha 2 or not.

I think we will be going the way of vignettes drawn from each of the Rise of the Runelords volumes to test characters at different levels. The idea is that we will take a chapter from each of the 5 books, the DM will narrate everything leading up to that and after that. Our focus will be less on roleplaying out the story than using the format of Pathfinder as our cage match. We haven't decided on how to approach the adventuring party. So, far, I've tossed out three ideas: (1) two teams of different classes, (2) one team of four classes, (3) tag in/tag out of one team composed of all classes/

I am currently running both the Rise of the Runelords and The Curse of the Crimson Throne. It is taking me roughly a week of prep time each to convert NPCs over to the new system. So far the thing that has been a real stumper for the PCs were the Ogrekin in RotR, I had to subsitute Fighter for Ranger (as it isn't out yet *tear*), and it makes for a bit more impact on the PCs I think...
Good Job Paizo!
Good Job Pathfinder Team!

My group may be running The Shackled City with the alpha 2 release? does that count?

I just finished converting some old characters (3.0 rules!) that were at 14° level.
Some minor hassle with the rogue/ranger halfling, but the player was happy enough with fighter levels as a substitude; no problems at all with the elf wizard/fighter/swordmage, we just followed the guidelines for PrCs.
The dwarf fighter and the cleric of Heironeous are nothing short of awe-inspiring, and their respective players are enthusiastic about the changes brought forth.
I'll run "Glacier Season" fron Dungeon Magazine #87 on wednesday night and friday night.
My girlfriend and I had great fun converting and updating NPCs, creatures and monsters, and barring some very minor inconsistencies regarding skill points and feats and the missing ranger class, we became pretty quickly proficient in doing the necessary changes (CMB, feats, skill points, spells, equipment).
For this playtest I won't be using my usual house rules (mostly action points, vitality/wounds and armor as DR from UA), and I'll just stick to the basics.
Moreover, I'll get the opportunity to show off my Gargantuan sized white dragon mini, which is always a good thing. :-D

I plan on running Alpha (and possibly Beta?) rules/characters through the Age of Worms AP. I'm thinking of putting up a session rundown on either ENWorld's forums or this forum. Honestly, I think that's the best way to playtest. Right now, a bunch of egos are tossing out ideas expecting them to be implemented. That won't end well.

I was happy this evening with the outpouring of support I received when I introduced the Alpha 2 rule set to my six usual players. The ages run from 19 - 48, and all are proud to be included in the playtest.
Side note: FedEx Kinkos did a great job printing the PRPG-A2 .pdf, and adding a spiral-binding and color cover.
My players were thrilled that PAIZO will continue support for the system they enjoy, 3.5, helping them continue using their collections of books and materials.
As for what adventures we will playtest with, I am trying to decide, and would appreciate everyone's input. I have the PAIZO collection of modules, but I'm slightly more interested in using the PRPG Alpha rules in a home brew I've been working on for some time.
That's where I could use an opinion, please. Does anyone see anything wrong with providing feedback to Jason & PAIZO on the Alpha rules if we use them in a homebrew world? Or would anyone feel strongly that a playtest group should use Varisia on Golarion? And, is it within playtesting bounds (meaning does it matter) if we run a homebrew setting, and later place the homebrew in Golarion i.e. perhaps I run my players through a campaign in a country who's detail I created (people, towns, government, etc.) then later say that that province is known in Varisia as the "Land of the Linnorm Kings."
I'd appreciate input on this.

Pax, I don't see a problem with this, but I'm running my playtests in the Forgotten Realms. I've got a shelf of Realms books from different editions, and one reason why I'm interested in 3P is to stick with the Realms that I know.
An orc is an orc is an orc (well, unless they're gray, deep, or half-ogre) and there may be interesting chemistry between 3P classes and a homebrew world.
