Good post. Something that everyone playtesting should keep in mind.

By rebuking death, you mean channel positive energy right? Cause otherwise it would damage the PC's.

As for Detect Magic, I'm guessing magical traps will be guessed at more often...

Do agree that more reports are needed.

I plan on running Alpha (and possibly Beta?) rules/characters through the Age of Worms AP. I'm thinking of putting up a session rundown on either ENWorld's forums or this forum. Honestly, I think that's the best way to playtest. Right now, a bunch of egos are tossing out ideas expecting them to be implemented. That won't end well.

I have never seen concentration used for non-spellcasting purposes. So I have no problem with merging Concentration into Spellcraft. Honestly, I'm a big fan of merging skills.

However, I understand the complaint about Int replacing Con for the application. Int isn't as important as Con is for the other spellcasting classes. In that vein I agree that the attribute bonus be based on the spellcasting ability.

Come to think about it a lot of the combo skills include skills that were previously powered by a different ability.

As for the idea of combining either Knowledge Arcana or Knowledge Religion with Spellcraft, that actually is a much more complicated game mechanic. What if a character multiclasses? What happens then? What about new players? There are new players who get flummoxed by just the 3.5 player's handbook.

I don't think Hasbro owned WOTC before 3rd edition came out cause I remember reading the news on ENWorld after it switched to that name. Honestly, I seriously doubt Hasbro would ever have allowed the OGL.

I'm apathetic about the GSL. Sure, I see very few of the big third party publishers switching to GSL as they don't really need to. Honestly, new and/or smaller companies actually benefit from this more. But then again I admit I'm biased as I consider the d20 glut as one of the major causes of the decline of the RPG market.

Scott Rouse's answers are probably hampered due to higher ups.

How Paizo is affected? Simple. There won't be any Paizo 4E products unless Pathfinder RPG tanks. As long as Paizo makes their products 3.5 friendly it "won't".

As for Palladium being arrogant, I assume you mean its aggressive legal stance. Keep in mind the game Nightspawn...er, I mean Nightbane. Thanks TMP.
