We've yet to finish the second adventure but as players are quite aware that Aldern is involved with the pack.
My character is trying to deny all proof that he's got anything to do with the ghoul problem however. She's not in love but very much enamoured, she'd promised to keep in touch with him and had planned some sort of courting of him for her future - poor thing.
Her diary, if you're at all interested in a laugh at her expense :P

Can i just say that Aldern is my hands down faverate NPC in a 3.x product EVER.
Closely followed by Lyrie Akenja, who is a character i would want to play.
That's a pretty awesome list for Aldern to be in the company of - thank you.

The diary is tremendous, and as I've said before, the most flattering thing is a seeing life breathed into these NPCs - kudos indeed to the players and DMs who help in that.

I know my DM made some changes to the module for our group, but of course I don't know what the original was supposed to be. The only conversation my character had with Aldern while he was alive involved him telling me how much he loved his wife and that he was a happily married man. Then after he turns undead, he starts sending my character creepy love notes written in blood. Even my cleric of a love god finds this to be in very poor taste ;)

creepy love notes
I, as a player, adore the love notes! So very creepy!
My little Mvashti however less enthused by them ;)
NPCs we've encountered so far have all been amazing, we're a high "fluff" RP group, we can natter IC for hours so having the interesting outside characters to bounce off of is amazing. Kudos to all the paizo writers really, I'm in so much love with Pathfinder!

This is one of those points I'm really looking forward to. My players are just towards the end of Burnt offerings right now, but I definitely played Aldren up a great deal with one of the girls(who happens to be a varisian and much like Iesha).
While I wouldn't say she has fallen for him, she has certainly taken compliment at his interest in her and promised him that she would come visit him at his manor when there is time. I because to foreshadow some of the darker parts, having one of her earrings go missing, and he was the one she ran to when she discovered that and was upset over it. He bought her a necklace to try and soothe her after the disappearance and she has made a point to always be wearing it.
She is one of the ones in the group who loves a creepy story, but she's also the one who is most easily squicked at strange things, so I do look forward to seeing how she responds to this change.

My wife's PC found Aldern fascinating and began an innocent enough romance with him before he headed back to Magnimar.
When he turned out evil, it was game over.
Now Richard Pett got her with Aldern.
She's decided her next character will be a nun.
