Not happy about it to say the least....

I will have a post up for tomorrow night for sure DM! Heading to bed now, have to be up super early for a trip with my daughter's school.
#1 - UGH! Glad you averted 'Total' catastrophe. But even 'minor' damage is a PITA to get fixed/ walls or carpet replaced, etc. My Sympathies.
I still have flashbacks to our own 'minor' flooding emergency in 2016 where I had to rip out all my front room carpet, and replace it (and cover the kitchen and dining room) with fake wood flooring. AND have the entire front room redone. (Remove paneling, replace with sheetrock, etc)
#2- Trip with kid's school, Yay! (?!?) ;)

Happy Birthday, sorry to hear about that fender bender, not the best type of birth day bender :-(

Congratulations to those who participated in the ‘short’ side quest! One less game to update!
Folks - I will be traveling on Thursday to Key Largo to see FAWTL alumnus Solnes get married. From there I am heading to Maine to vacation with my mother and daughter. I will check in and I can certainly do social-type posts, but anything combat-heavy will have to wait.
The good news is my time is starting to get better, so hopefully more consistent posts.

Hey, idle curiosity question,
Anyone here any good (at least better than ME?!?) at making/designing/figuring out creating new magic items?
I have a couple of ideas that I've been kicking around for a while.
But I'm not necessarily the best at making sure I follow the rules when designing new toys. ;P
Just wondering.
Happy weekend!

SO, before I forget to tell everyone and vanish mysteriously,
Tomorrow, Thursday, I am going in again for another surgical procedure to 'fix' me after the major cancer removal almost 2 years ago now.
This will be the second attempt to 'fix' the issue.
(Here's hoping they dont mess THIS one up!) ;P
It is considered 'minor' and out-patient, but I will be in pain and out of it for a few days at least. And literally not able to sit in a chair for who-knows-how-long. (2 weeks at least)
I will respond and keep myself in the loop as much as possible, but you get a break from my novel-length posts for a while! ;)
Since I'll be out of it, Happy weekend all ! :)

Thx much!
Well your well-wishes and prayers worked! :)
THIS time it went like it was supposed to. (YAY?!?!)
Still hurts, but MUCH less than the last (failed) attempt, and I had NO anesthesia-brain-fog.
I actually need to be careful, I feel good so I must be careful and not to do more than I actually can!
Still cant sit in my desk chair for a while, so short(er) posts for a while.
You're welcome! ;P

Wonderful news Rags!
I am going to try and get things back on course for the main game. AT least for the moment. One thing is my photoshop program is proving most resistant to my computer change :/. I think we might finish the polyp fight using half theater of the mind and half old map.

No worries all. I am fighting to keep these games current. My photoshop problem is a manufactured one: Adobe has stopped supporting my version and wants me to upgrade to a ‘subscription’ model. I have already had issues with Adobe over their PDF subscription method (which slowly ticks upwards over time like the cable bill). Since I paid big money for the program (albeit several years ago) I don’t really want another $15-25 subscription fee for something I make gaming maps on.

I hear ya, it's a struggle I'm going to have to grapple with soon in my game :-(

Adobe CC is garbage, with a scummy business model, and I refuse to use it. I've been running Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator CS6 for a long time, and since it doesn't connect to the internet, I haven't had any problems with it.
If you're up for shelling out a decent chunk of money up front, you can get the disk for CS6 for $200-$300. If not, I've heard a lot of good things about GIMP, which is free. Also, if you're looking for a stopgap fix, just send me the files and I can make the edits.

Sorry need another day, just jammed up and the limited time I have tonight I have to move the games I DM forward.
Ragadolf |
Wow, Yeah I've seen bits across Youtube feeds saying how Adobe was messing themselves over with a Subscription model changeover, AND with language that lets them just take anything you've made with their program and claim it as theirs.
Yaaaahhhhh,... Nope. Bad move Adobe. Not cool.
I'm a big fan of my old on-disk version of stuff, like an old CAD program that is ON-PC only. (Forgot the name now, havent used it in so long. But I still have the disk!) ;P

Hey all. Well, I finally figured out a gordian knot solution to my photoshop issue. I had enough spare parts to make a Frankenstein computer that will be my photoshop station in the corner. With that, I was able to update the main game and get moving again. I again apologize, this month has been spectacularly busy and things seem to flying at me with a crazy pace.
Here's to getting on with things!
Ragadolf |
Oh boy! A Frankenputer?!?
So, just like my first 4 or 5 pc's? ;)
Good job! YAY workarounds! :D
OMG don't get me started on this month. :(
At least the Dr says I'm healing well from this last round of surgical malarkey.
(STILL hurts like the Dickens though!) ;P
Here's hoping August is a LITTLE smoother than July.
(I mean, it's not likely, but hope springs eternal!) ;D
Moving on,... Moving on,... (I can hear the song, but not recall the words,...)

do you mean this song?
Glad things are improving over your way. I am hoping to keep up with things better going forward.

OK. Now that stuff is calming down just a bit, I have a proposal for the class. The Sidequest thread is done. But, I hope to have some spare time to work with another sidequest. Is there any interest in the group?
I think you should just include it in the main thread instead of being spread further thin, if it has to wait, so be it!

Hey all,
Seems we have gotten a little slow recently
(NO problem! My brain hurts from work lately)
I hope everyone is doing alright?
SO,... I just thought I'd leave this little thought here for you to (hopefully) enjoy. :)
The NEXT time that Justin is in a position where the only reasonable solution is to cast his favorite spell,...
I will be hearing THIS when he casts it.
Or: THIS!
Or both. (Im good either way really!) ;P
And remember, There are no "I's" in "TEAM".
BUT, there are SIX "I's" in "I didn't ask how big the room was. I said I cast Fireball!"
;D
See you all soon! (I hope!)

Still here, still up for the side quest.
(I do have a one-off character concept in the works, which may or may not have been partly inspired by AM BARBARIAN.)

Nice!
For sure in the same category as I was thinking. :)Ragadolf |
Cool, HUNT them pesky wabbits! ;P
Have fun, stay safe.
See everyone soon(ish) (I hope!) :D
FYI, I got cast in a Christmas play.
"The Christmas Express"
It's a cute Christmas play.
I play "Joe Tannenbaum". I'm either Santa Claus, or an escapee from a mental asylum.
The point being,. even when I dont have work in an evening, I will probably have rehearsal.
But I'll stay as on top of everything as I can. (Give you guys a break for my longer posts) ;P
HAve a good rest of the week everyone!
