Hey Kruel. I was thinking of doing up a Wizard/fighter to see how the Gish feats work out in PRPG but I was hoping that after Alpha2 comes out that I can option to switching out the Wizo level for Sorcerer if it seems a better fit. Is that acceptable to you?

We were both thinking pirates too.
The other ideas were zombie apocalypse and Conanesque low magic.
Not to be a threadjacking lurkmonkey ... but if you ever ... and I mean EVER ... do a zombie apocalypse-style game I call shotgun. I have been itching to play one since I read World War Z.

[/ooc]Luckily my forgetting this doesn't swing any of the engagements. Hopefully everyone can add this to their own attacks.
There are some +2 flanks.
And +1 Bless.
Idea for future battle maps!
Make a box at one of the top corners with the various bonuses/conditions in place listed.

Grrr. Working in PRPG is tough with only what they have out! I'm just not used to the rules. The feats are throwing me off, the skills are wonky and working in 4 classes is odd....I can't seem to make a decent Gish out of Combat Feats and the rules. We got fighters, we got clerics, we got rogues and there is an evoker. Maybe I could do a conjurer.
Is Imbue Summoning available?
How about the Rapid Summoning variant from the SRD? HERE.
Basically I give up a familiar or bonded item to be able to cast a summon as a standard action, and the summoned only gets a standard action for the first round.

My biggest problem with making a new character was the new skill rules, they feel wonky to me as I generally tend to like to "dabble" in some skills. It's especially clear when you have the skills you can't use without being proficient in them. I'm curious to see what Jason comes up with in the next release.
Regarding feats... I'd just like some more feat slots for all the characters so one can use all the fun ones. :-D

Have you looked the Barbarian on the blog? Seems the skill points are coming back.
I like to give extra feats, too, and will probably give you a bonus next level when Alpha 2 is out. I didn't because this is my first pbp and the system was a little new to me, I didn't want to make everyone overpowered from the get go.
In my meatspace games I sometimes give weapon focus for free on main weapons (I was thinking of doing this for you guys at 3rd level actually), other times I have just given players a choice.

Alrighty then, I will start putting him(a conjurer) together slow, maybe Alpha will have Sorcerer out before I am done and I'll toss one of them together instead....kinda wanna keep with an arcane caster as the group only has one, right?

World War Z... I wonder should I make it four?

After tossing a makeshift spear through a rotting zombie's torso, pinning it to a ruined wall
"Stick around"
It would be fun to give XPs for one liners.
Me can use human stats... just same avatar, that ok with you?
(While Stilgar's not listening.)
"Brain damage. Lysol junkie."

Is there any type of extraneous equipment that is needed in this game? Specifically, do we need to buy a mount? Boat? Tents?
What sources are available for goods? PHB/DMG and/or SRD? MIC?
I am just about done statting up a Conjurer with a penchant for summons. May wish to retcon him to sorcerer when the rules come out but we'll see...
Any ideas as to how I would get to joining the party? Something I can work into my background, I haven't really started the background yet(still haven't named the dude!).

You might want to try a camel, some white or sand colored robes and a lot of water skins, for equipment I'm open to pretty well any source.
Story-wise, if you are a desert dweller, or some hermit dude who is camping out near an oasis that would be an easy walk-in.
Turin's map shows you roughly where everyone is on the great map o' Golarion: somewhere on the edge of the northern scrub desert in Qadiran lands, so some some kind of Vizier type mage would be apt. The city of Katheer is not quite legible on the Paizo map but Qadira is easy to find and Katheer is the northern city in that country. In fact the only reason I know the city is Katheer is because of Logue's Pathfinder Society promo page. I should have a pdf of the Gazetteer in my hands in the next week or two which will help me set up the city (provided that's where everyone decides to go) but for now I'm going to assume it's the typical Persian cliché, [Persian music] namely a large, dusty, crowded city full of honorable thieves and veiled beauties, but most importantly with a great bazaar. A city at the core of a web of trade in exotic and fantastic goods from mysterious lands.[/Persian music]
If you want a free hook you can put your guy on the trail of a lost temple of Aroden, in a "tower that once commanded the skyline of an ancient coastal city now buried in the sand" - or so it was written.... Can't say too much more.... Well, they say that within the temple "the sun guards the eye of Aroden", a huge, perfect emerald orb.
Incidentally, if anyone is wondering, the reason I dropped everyone in the wilderness is precisely because the Gazetteer is so late in coming....

Hey player dudes!
I kind of like the speed, is it okay with you guys? I don't want to crack anyone else.
Posting once a day is fine. Twice or more fine too. I hate running PCs but I won't get hissy when I have to.
Just wanted to let you know that when I post something like "waiting on Bohdan and Nerius" I'm writing it with a smile. I'm just putting something out there to get your attention at the bottom of the thread so you know what's going on in case it might get things rolling faster.
Peace!

I assume you like my rate of posting.

You're great!
I like a little conversation.
Check this out, one page, half is PC to PC dialog - in 3 1/2 hours.
That's cool but on the other hand I don't want anyone to feel unwelcome if they don't post that fast.
Know what I mean?

Can I assume that purchasing a camel costs the same as a horse or do you have another figure? I also assume that I can go with Bactian(2 hump) instead of Dromadary(1 hump)? Bactian lose 10'of movement but add +2 to constitution.
Should have my dude up by tonight.

That sounds reasonable.

You're on FH.
Please add to you equipment a "water noose": a weighted water bag on a length of rope with a slip knotted mouth. You can throw it into an oasis from about 20 feet away and fill it without approaching, or throw it down a well. When you yank on it it seals (nearly) and you pull it back quickly before the water leaks out.
It's up to you if he wants to be looking for the lost temple of Aroden.

Me too. I did just enough research to toss 3 Iranian names together for my dude (all first names at that) that had some meaning.
