We do like Aubrey's campaign--draw a grid with a-v across the top, 1-25 down the side or whatever, fill in the grid with stuff, positions, and....voila!!! poor man's battle map! It's good for guys without too much technical aptitude like myself...;)....
Tobus is Stupified!

Ya get abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz across the top of a piece of graph paper, then 1 through say 20 down the side. So each square has a name like a1, m13, etc.
So you draw a map like that, place stuff and combatants on the map, and use it as a miniatures map thingy to keep track of the action.

(lol) I got my nose broke a good 4 times, but never straightened...
I must be blessed. In 15 years of tournament fighting and 17 years of karate training I never broke my nose - go figure. I did loosen a few teeth and endure multiple fractures and dislocations, and I have had my teeth go through my cheeks twice in street fights.

Funny, me either in 10 years of Martial Arts and Tourneys. Bruised ribs, torn meniscus(sp?), an orbital socket, a hyperextension or 3, but never broke the nose. The italian side of my family all have very strong noses though, my uncle was a brawler and bouncer for years and only once broke his nose.....in a demolition derby of all things. Cars are tough. My old one REALLY put a hurt me once....100+ stitches and almost lost an eye, drove both knees through the dash, tearing a PCL and doing various other fun things to the knees, and breaking several bones in my off-hand(I'm a lefty). The doctors told me I would've died if I wasn't in top shape at the time.
Now I just figure that the extra padding HAS to help.;P

Yeah - I only fight people when I roll dice, I'm a total physical coward the rest of the time.
But at least my nose looks good.
I've a little training, Mostly I just know enough to make it LOOK good. (Actor/Combatant, Stage Combat)
At my age the padding DEFINITELY helps, and my nose looks good too! (Well, my wife thinks so at least.) ;P

SHopping at Granny's! Going out of business! Come by today!
Elgan's treasures;
8 X 1st lvl scrolls, (200GP) (Entangle, Longstrider, Magic Fang, Shillelagh, Speak w/Animals, Produce Flame, Obscuring Mist, Faerie Fire,)
1 Silvered Dagger, 1 Cold Iron Dagger,(44GP)
I'll figure the rest tomorrow, g'night!
Question, I don't really need a masterwork weapon, as I fight in beast form. (And I hit better in that form to boot!) And I don't really NEED better armor, for the same reason, but was looking and saw 'Dragonskin Armor', Druids can wear since it's not metal, and can be made into armor up to Scale Mail. The info online says it cost twice the normal amount to masterwork it, so a suit (of 'Green' Dragonskin Scale Mail) would cost 350GP, be AC:+4, reduced armor check penalty,
What does Masterwork do about weight/speed factors? Arcane Spell Failure? I'm guessing it still weighs 30lbs, so max speed is still 20'? I thought I saw a rule for lessing the Arcane spell failure chance,... (maybe that was a suit of magic armor? I'm confused.)
Don't need it. But it sounded cool, and I could get it enchanted later. Just thinking,... ;P

I'll look it up at home; see what I can come up wit'.
Thanks. No big hurry, just trying to think of something that would be nice to have (whether I 'need' it or not), that wouldn't interfere TOO much with planned (future) Arcane casting.
Whether he needs it or not, a druid wearing a suit of Green Dragonskin Armor WOULD look pretty cool! :D

Okay. The masterwork costs 150 g.p. for armor, +50 for scale male. Dragonhide doubles that to 400 g.p.
Arcane spell failure is unaffected; not an issue for your divine druid spells; will be an issue if (as I noticed on your sheet) you take a few sorcerer levels.
Speed is unaffected; and the armor check penalty goes down 1 point.
It doesn't say the dragonhide can be made into scale mail, but that seems academic to me that that is possible.
The main benefit is that since it is not metal, a druid doesn't get the spellcasting moratorium normally placed on a druid for wearing metal armor.
What color do you want? ;)
(granny only does chromatic, not metallic....)

Ragadolf |

Ah, your right ,(as usual I'm sure), The online SRD mentions just about every OTHER kind of armor, right up to full plate, but not scale! (Which kind of makes NO sense since they are MADE of scales!) And I did the math wrong too, (I only doubled the MASTERWORK cost, not that & the armor cost) so it's a little more than I thought. (A little much for armor that doesn't really add much to me, and will cause spell-fizzle if I go caster.) So thanks you for checking,
(C'mon, a druid in Green Dragon Armor would have been cool!)
Hm,... MAybe a green dragonskin shield,...
(sigh) I'll finish my shopping list tonite (I hope) busy at the homestead,...
:)

Nah, I think we should run for it with a bit.
Granny doesn't want to move. Granddaughter wants her too - and has a point. We've got a few options if we want her to move; diplomacy, coersion, force etc.
I'm thinking the key might be in listening to her - as no one ever does. But Beldan has already embarrased himself, and isnt going to speak up again just yet.

Keep on her, Riese is no help in these matters and would probably cause much harm in the sitch. I have him contemplating a resolution for Swertlowe. He is wondering if the man could be redeemed and if so if he would want to join forces with him, maybe as a cohort or something, in the future. Perhaps not the 'recurring villian' thought that Heathy was going for, but I think the idea has some worth.
What is Swertlowe, anyway? Fighter? Rogue? Ranger? I was thinking that if Riese had the time he could start working on rehabbing the guy and maybe teaching him some arcane tricks in the future if he is cohortable.
