Ser Jodar Hawthorne wrote:I have the basics of my character down. Just have to put it all down on paper (well into my PbP character sheet at least). :)I have yet to figure out a really groovy insertion for Jodar; maybe I will, or maybe just "poof--you're there;" I don't know yet.
He's encased in amber in the belly of one of our worm foes?

So, noble Sir Wormfood, if I may...
Why three levels of the dragoon archetype? Why not just one level, for the free mounted combat feats? Or level 4 for weapon specialisation?
Level 3 lets me move in Medium Armour without Penalty (with the bonus of getting me another free Feat). And Level 13 of Paladin gets me another use of Smite Evil. :)

Fighter used to be a nice 2 level dip for any class wanting to see some melee, but now with Armour Mastery it makes sense to go one more if you want to use heavier armour types. I agree that Level 4 is nice for Weapon Specialisation, but only if your Feat selection will allow it and mine is pretty tight. :)
I really like Archetypes as I am a big fan of being able to customise a character to suit a specific charactisation. I know that it also makes it much easier for people to build overpowered machines of death and destruction, unable to be touched my mortal man, but for someone like me who enjoys creating weird class/race combinations, having that extra little bit of versatility is a fun addition. I honestly don't believe that any of my characters are overpowered for their customisation, as I build "Characters", not Deathbots... :)
Feel free to peruse my Aliases, as every one is an actual character created to play (although in some cases they may have been created for games that never eventuated). :D

Daaaang,..... Even Elgan would think twice before messing with one of those! :)
On an Elgan note, while updating I realized I had overlooked one of the Druid's high level abilities, 1,000 faces. (Basically Alter Self at will)
I shall have to play with this,... Hopefully much hilarity upcoming,...
:D

And then I'm back. My computer suddenly died on me for no discernible reason other than to piss me off. Bonus: my harddrive permanently expired, costing me a couple of months of PhD dissertation progress. Capital! That'll teach me to back my stuff up more often.
EDIT: 127 new posts!? Really?? Better get to work...

WOw, that stinks VAtt.
On the plus side, welcome back! :)
Yeah my home PC died as well, the good news is I didn't lose any PhD dissertation.
As I'm FAR to lazy to go and get a doctorate at this point in my life.
;P
The bad news, my laptop has now become the family's primary PC.
SO much for the kids 'never touching daddy's laptop' ;P

Hey all,
We survived our vacation, but NOW we are all getting sick. Just in time to go back to school. Lovely. :/
I have the creeping crud. I will catch back up as soon as I can lean over the keyboard without dripping on it.
:P
So sorry for the delay. I promise to make up for it with the awesome-est posts I can muster, I promise! :)
Happy New Year!

Ouch. That suxxors dude. Having dealt with it in 2009, I feel yer pain. Also, due to several things ongoing here in meatspace (I almost joined you in unemployment due to a spat with my boss, but it would have been voluntary) I haven't been posting. I'll rectify that today.

Yeah, that's kinda nerve-racking.
I've been there once myself, post-Katrina.
(Well, twice technically, but since I was leaving the second one anyway it wasn't that big of a deal.) ;)
Whether your fired for a reason, or just a victim of downsizing, I imagine the fear & suck-factors are about the same. ;P
But heck, I have no doubt in your ability to pull through this with flying colors. As mentioned above, you are far too intelligent and quick-witted to let this keep you down for long.
Go get'em Heathy! :)
