It was for "reason," which has me pretty scairt. I never got fired, and so don't know how to get thru an interview with that question.

I might be fooked because it was for "reason." I have 300 hours of pto and my retirement though.....and I have my call job. My wife also has something part timeish lined up; that might buy us some time.

Hm,... While the FFL might give you an even greater depth of experiences to call on while guiding us misbegotten murderhoboes on our paths of wanton destruction, I'm betting that there's probably something a LITTLE closer to home that you might want to try. First. ;)
Yes, what exactly are your healthcare qualifications Heathy? I could be wrong, but it seems like I'm always seeing adds for one type of med-tech or another.

I'm a nuclear medicine technologist. If you had a PET scan, or a nuclear medicine renal scan, that's the kinda work I do.
It's a tight field. I might look into cross training as a CT tech.
The possibilities are boundless.

Can't offer any wisdom (or horror stories of past employment), but you have my best wishes. It would certainly throw me off my game for a while - but I'm a hardcore creature of habit, so quitting really messed me up until I could find my new normal.

I don't know what the future holds, none of us do, but I'm going down swinging to punch jaws off of m!*@@+$%$%@#s' skulls and into f$~+ing orbit.
I had a phone interview today, and they said they'd let me know if I get a face-to-face in a couple weeks. I had to tell them I'm getting terminated though; I have no earthly clue if that will torpedo it or not, but I'll figure something out.
Never been fired before. I was definitely in the wrong place.

I'm 44......its' a weird feeling. But my kids were scared and freaked the one time I cried in front of them, so I don't do it.

When I had surgery back in Sept (9/11 to be exact) ;P
I went into surgery late in the day, about noon. So when they allowed the family in to see me afterwords, I was still WAY under the influence of Anesthesia. My son kinda freaked out JUST a little bit. Kept asking Mommy if Daddy was going to be ok. :(
SOmetimes it's hard being the 'big, strong daddy' Isn't it? ;)
But every once in a while, even my 14 year old daughter gets that 'dad is awesome' look on her face, (though you'd be hard pressed to get her to SAY it) And it is so worth it! :)
You'll manage Heathy. We all deal however we can. Play video games and beat up bad guys, torment your PbP'ers, Whatever works. We're here to help! :)

Got called in to my "was my extra call job but now it's all I have" job; got 5.5 hours of work. And I got call this weekend, so I have some money coming in.

For the amusing home accident file: Our fire alarm went off yesterday. The master unit is in my room above one of my bookshelves. As I climb up to turn it off, the ceiling fan whacks me in the back of my head and catapults my face into the damned shelf. So now I have a massive laceration in the back of my head and a huge welt across my forehead - it looks like someone tried to open up my skull with a can opener.
When I dropped Emma off at daycare today, all the kids laughed at me. Little bastards. ;P I think I'll be wearing a hat for the next week or so.
