Given how much emphasis has been put on how the Monarch and Rusty look alike, and given that Dr. Venture Sr. was a really personal friend of the original Blue Morpho (the Monarch's father) and a known swinger, I suspect they'll reveal that the Monarch and Rusty are half brothers.

Also, I notice there are three costume cabinets in the Morpho cave, one for Kano, one for the Blue Morpho, and one they haven't opened on screen. My guess is the third cabinet is for a female costume, and eventually we'll see Dr. Mrs. The Monarch as Dr. Mrs. Morpho. I am terribly curious how the Monarch is going to explain to his wife that he's the one who's been killing guild members. It is telling though, that he's been more successful as an anti-hero than he ever was as a villain.

Finally, I expect (hope) that we'll finally learn the source of the Monarch's antipathy for Rusty.

So, from what Dr Z said, maybe "Morpho" isn't just a cool sounding name? Maybe the Blue Morpho was a shapeshifter. Maybe the Blue Morpho was actually the Monarch's mother (with Jonas Venture)... Maybe Rusty's mother.

Wait... A shapeshifter, and the Sovereign destroyed the records of who claimed the bounty for the kill... could the Sovereign have been the Blue Morpho?

So many wild speculations.
