2008 will not have December. You will have to subscribe to Monthly Management Initiative (MMI) to have access to December. You will also have to pay extra for the Christmas add on as Hanukah will be the core holiday.

I have no problem with making Hanukkah core but I think Eid ul-Fitr and Kwanzaa should be core as well. In fact, I don't mind paying extra for a calendar with all the holidays marked. If I have to buy add-ons and supplement sticker packs to get these holidays, I'll just switch to the Discordian system.

If only I could convince others of this logic.

We need to make Festivus core too.

Now's the time when I tell you all how you've been a letdown to me over the previous year. Gnomes, you're first...

Then it's on to the Festivus grappling match.

All previous years were poorly designed. It is time for a new year.

Last year, you were saying that 2007 was "elegant in its simplicity."

It had too many zeroes.

The Discordian system is flexible enough that you can tag on holidays wherever you need them! Even the Five Core Holidays are subject to Rule Zero.

There you go with all your zeroes again!

This new version has me confused. They changed which day each month starts with, drastically changing the month's flavor. On top of that, I don't like how the new "global warming" concepts change what activities are permitted in different months.

I just resent having changes like these forced on me when I liked the previous year's version. They need to get back to the "Old-School" style, like the ones they had when I was a kid. Those rocked!
