Congrats to everyone who advanced, and also to those who competed but didnt advance! There was some truly good stuff here.
Ok top 16, time to get working on that villain! The stakes are high and it is really time to bring that A-game, as they say.
I think it is clear from this round that mediocrity, even excellent mediocrity, is not going to cut it. I also think it is clear that while our voting public might allow a misstep or a gonzo choice to "see what they will do later," that "later" is "now." So its time to bring it. :)
For you top 32 who didnt make top 16, I think the idea was to let you keep the top 32 tag for a while, perhaps even for a long while. But that is Gary/Vic/Erik/Lisa's decision, not mine :) [hey look, Gary beat me to the post]
Let me also add that it has been my pleasure to judge this excellent competition and that I feel everyone is doing a great job and conducting themselves very well.

Congratulations to the Top 16.
Ross Byers wrote:Now that I'm out of the contest, my money's on Boomer to win it.While no-one loves anime fuelled goodness more than me, I think I'll put a fiver on Erik Anderson.
While I think both of the candidates above are solid choices to bet on, lets not forget about James MacKenzie. His writing was original and evocative. But IMHO this thing is still wide open. I will confess that I do have a few favorites after the first two rounds, so its going to be fun seeing if they can continue to impress in this round.
Congrats to the 16! You earned it!

Dont forget Sam (aka Mr. Migrus) and James or Rob or Alex or even Jason. Plus there is my dark horse William McNulty--in my view he was the biggest diamond in the rough and thus has the most chance to show a real jump. Of course, that is not to say that Boomer and Christine are not also front runners. They are!
The bottom line is that this thing is wide open!!!
Any of the top 16 clearly have the game to go all the way.

Congratulations to the top 16. I am also excited to see that some of my favorite entries made the cut. I have been honored to share this space with some truly creative and talented individuals. It has been my pleasure to learn from each of you through your submissions, comments, and from the judges through their intent and very accurate criticism.
Good luck to you all!

Congrats to the Top 16. It would appear that it's time for me to put aside my dreams of RPG writing and concentrate on doing the best operations I can do. God, that sounds so sappy; I'll totally keep writing RPG material if only for my own use. Anxious to see hwat all of you guys come up with next.

Hey, don't give up. This is a decathalon, and not a single event.
You might still be the best adventure writer out there, so keep at it.

Don't stop believin'...:)
But really, you have talent don't be afraid to put it out there again.
And congratulations to the top 16. Great job guys and gals!
Can't wait 'till next round.

Good, good stuff. I'm just pleased that my votes weren't the kiss of death for the folks I voted for. Everyone I voted for made it through! Yay me!
Plus I gotta' say looking back at some of the other 16 who I didn't vote for, that they really deserve it too. Looking back through all the entries (I cut and pasted them to peruse offline) I really have to say I'm falling in love with each of them more and more as I study them over.
Hope to use all of them at some point in the future, just cause something this awesome needs to be used. It's like cooking up a fine meal and not eating it. Just plain wrong I tell you!
So yeah, congratulations to all. I'm really looking forward to where the contest goes from here. I'm obsessed.

Congratulations to all the top 16!
I think all of my choices made it in as well. A great job to all the competitors on these places submitted. You have seriously fueled my own imagination to create new worlds with some inspiring reading.
Hope that's not too sappy; congrats again.

Congratulations to those that made it in!
As a contest entrant I can say wholeheartedly that I enjoyed the process.
Effective Feedback is one of the things so hard to get in any creative endeavor, most of the time editors don't have the time to give anything more then a 'We're not buying it' to those they turn down so this contest aside from a gem of an idea, is one of the best forums for getting direct feedback. I look forward to the proceeding rounds producing truly stellar results that all of us get to enjoy.
Once more Paizo demonstrates why it is a Top Star in the industry and why it engenders such loyality from its customers and creates a community out of gamers that come to its messageboards. It's like coming Home or more aptly it's like coming into the basement/garage/attic where the dice are always rolling, the dungeons are always deadly and the character sheets are there in multitude.
Thank you Clark Peterson, thank you Wolfgang Baur, thank you Erik Mona, thank you citizens of this community and thank you Paizo, you have all never failed to bring to this game we all play hours of fun and joyful frustration.
Once more Congratulations to the top 16!

Thank you everyone that voted of me. Also, thank you Clark. I believe this is my round to polish that diamond and shine. I hope.

COngrats to the top 16; I can't wait to see your villains! Also congrats to the 16 who didn't make it; you've still done a great job! To everyone out there who even tried, don't give up! If you had the drive to even try, then you've probably got something to offer. Keep on trying, use all of the comments from the judges, the contestants and your fellow gamers here, and strive for improvement. There are always opportunities out there! :)

Now that we (the contestants that have not carried on and the community in general) are aware of what the judges and community wants, I believe Paizo and the publications that the Judges are part of (Wolfgang :) are probably going to get a lot more queries for their slush pile. Of course I could be wrong :)

Paizo is smart. They are not taking open submissions currently. Hence the contest.
