            Okay, I'm back.
Elerrosse's arrow clanks harmlessly against the goblin's chainmail. He grins madly, and charges Cadwyn with his kukri. slices with it expertly, leaving a nasty gash.
Attack=19, damage=5
Oh, and by the way, here's the Initiative chart:
Hera 18
Cadwyn 11
Elerrosse 10+
Goblin Leader 10-
Xaephon 9
Shym 3
Xaephon's turn.

I want to stick with this:
Shym puts his hands in his spell component pouch brushes his fingers back and forth over the multicolored sand and the wool.
I imagine Shym is last...if there are any goblins grouped together he will step forward and cast color spray - if there is no tactical way to make it affective he will cast daze on the meanest looking one instead. He will use a 5' step to keep out of AOO range if need be.

            I guess It's my turn?
Hera takes a stab at the last goblin.
Attack roll 15+4=19. Damage 1d6+3=8 points
Shym's magic takes the goblin off guard, and he stands slightly dazed. Still, his armor is strong enough to turn away the sword thrust.

The blade stabs the goblin brutally through the leg and he collapses, apparently dead. However, as the group turns to leave, he suddenly cries out "Lopinsand! 'Ware!". Somehow, there is still some life left in him.

| Elerosse Coamenel |

Elerosse looks at the goblin, then at Hera then back at the goblin. "There must be more evil in this desert then?"
sorry to get off track, drew a character portrait of Elerosse here

But the goblin is already going on. "We were trapped by Lopinsand, in the desert. Driven half-mad...no water...lost...lost...Beware Lopinsand!" And he dies, the word still on his lips.

Eck. Does any one have the feeling its going to be a lot hard to escape here then we believed?
You mnight not want to give me ideas.

It seems to be a necklace of some sort, made from silver. It has an bleeding eye on it, caused by an spear. Everyone notices that the goblins' javelins all have the same mark. It appears that this was the symbol of Arkiosis.

"Interesting," says Cadwyn. "Perhaps we were too quick to leave this desert? I have a feeling that there is much more here than meets the eye..."
His sword remains drawn as his eyes sweep the horizon. He would not be caught unawares again.
"Anyone know anything else about what this goblin speaks?"

DC 25:
It appears that these three goblins, maddened by thirst, are the last of the clan of Arkiosis.

The chief goblin has an oil of some sort, a bloodstained kukri (masterwork), some nice arrows, and a few gems. The others don't have anything unique, save each have a small copper bracelet with the symbol of Arkiosis on it.

Coming to his senses having been lost is a daze for some time, Shym looks around him. He feels he has awoken from a dream. What is happening to me? he thinks - All those grand plans I had when I left home.... He suddenly realises how scared he was in the battle and how vulnerable. Every decision he made since he left home has been the wrong one. The inner calm he tried to radiate just wasn't there.
Well, things will need to change. From now on he will show his true self. No more of this hiding behind his own self image - his false bravado. He will BE that person. He will show that he can and will make a name for himself with no need for any of the props of his earlier life.
Anxiously he takes hold of his cane, deriving comfort from its familiar shape.
He turns and sees Hera taking something from the dead goblin's body. Fearing he may be left out, he goes to join her.

            Thanks for the welcome!
Shym picks up one of the bracelets and idly gazes at the symbol upon it. "Forgive me" he says to no-one in particular, "I have been distracted of late. But is Lopinsand a person or the desert, or both?". Then, as an afterthought, "Does anybody know anything about Arkiosis?".

            Thanks for the welcome!
"Does anybody know anything about Arkiosis?".
Elerosse looks at Shym, " Arkiosis? Is it some kind of disease?" Elerosse then looks confused, "Lopinsand, is a desert."
sorry i haven't been on in a while, had some family issues, and welcome Shym :)

Good to have you onboard, Shym!
"Hmm..." Cadwyn muses, finally cleaning and stowing his sword. "Questions piled upon questions. I still feel that there is more to this place than meets the eye. Even if we return to the city, I think we will find ourselves drawn here again."
"The city, yes. We should return."
Stowing the bracelet in his satchel, he looks at the others expectantly.
