You should have used your Improved Critical feat rather than Craft Wondrous Item to come up with your entry.

So...

I was feeling good about my submission. But then I got home and flipped open Entombed with the Pharaohs, and was reading it more or less randomly (which is what I do with most modules) and got to the magic items.

Out of the 5 or so magic items in the back, damn near every one was cool, and I'm fairly certain all of them were under 200 words.

And now I realize how high the bar really is, and I feel less good.

But, I really like Entombed with the Pahraohs, so it all works out in the end.

I'm still excited to know who the top 32 are. I do hope I'm one of them, I worked a long time on my wondrous item.

Also, I was wondering if we had to make all our entries related? Cause the wondrous item I submitted was going to be worn by the main villain of the final adventure.

I initially planned to have no relationship between contest elements, but I also figured we'd find out in the new parameters if they want the elements to be related. of course, I'll do what I'm told.

The biggest challenge for me, looking forward, apparently is restricting myself to the SRD. For the wondrous item or the adventure, that's easy. But for a fully statted villain?

It will be interesting to see how unique the bad guys are in that round.

Even if I am eliminated now or later, I will defintely be watching the contest closely and voting every time.

Don't forget that a lot of the stuff from Unearthed Arcana are in the SRD, including class variants. Handy for villains. :)
