I had some free time so I decide to drive to the Paizo office on Richards road.

Unfortunately I went on Labor Day and the parking lot and building were empty. Confused I poked my head into the building for a short time before fleeing from the eerily quiet building.

Yeah, the building is haunted. It's good you got out alive. :)

Seattle's answer to Jacob Marley.

Whenever I show up to do my usual routine (standing in the rain, unblinking, in front of the office with dead flowers in hand), the office seems empty to me as well. Weird.

I just want to talk things out. Honestly. And a restraining order keeping me on the East Coast? Harsh. And to think I stay up extra late to make those heavy breathing phone calls, with the time zone difference factored in and everything.

I think a yearly pilgrimage to Piazo is in the works.

It will be during the night of the Seventh full Moon of every year.
(Why Seven? because when you roll two d6 that is the most common number and hence, obviously, the favorite number of the gods.)

The required costume will be that of a Ninja. Have a dice bag full of dice you so you can add to the shrine being built.

I am sure everyone, including the local police, is looking forward to you showing up.

That's funny. That's how Quai Chang Kane got admitted entrance to the Shaolin temple. And in Fight Club: Ed Norton as Cosmo comes out and says, "go away, James! You're to......artsy!!!"

If friends of Paizo started showing up here dressed as ninja... I don't know... I might explode with joy.

Whenever I go, I end up throwing dice at the conference room window.

(sigh) Yes. I've really done that.

And, no, I had no ninja suit.

The office on Richards Road? Er... OH! Yes, of course! The OFFICE, which is on Richards Road, just like we say it is. Yes. Um... What was the question again?

I knew it! Paizo is really located in an alternate universe, and the 'Richards Road' facade is simply a transdimensional gateway! It all makes sense now!!

Actually, a ninja would consider a pirate getup a decent disquise.

Does this mean we can all mob the offices and play some pick-up games with the staff? Ooh, ooh, how about a Paizonian Jones Soda Competition?

More importantly, does this mean I need to bring extra cookies?

PaiCon....I'll be damned....you guys have really hit on something.

Dressed as a ninja or pirate, you get in for half price.

Oh man, this could be really sweet.

We should ah...of course...you know....get Paizo to agree to this, before we show up in droves and are summarily arrested.

Details details . . .

Yeah, the real magic happens at an "undisclosed location." I personally suspect it is a secret ninja bunker hidden 20 floors below sea level.

I also have it on good authority that they keep 100 monkeys typing on 100 typewriters...just in case...

That sounds like the supreme munchkin prestige class. I wonder what the prerequisites would be? Sudden Strike +1d6 and proficiency with rapier? Must own a ship and have a parrot animal companion? 8 Ranks in Disguise, 8 Ranks in Profession: Sailor? And yet it still isn't as cheesy as the idea of the Vampire-Werewolf as seen in Underworld, for example...

Does that mean the Ninjas use Pirates to get there? Or just the wave of awesomness that comes from Chuck Norris??

By the way Lilith I will take some cookies please.

Nah...they can only shoot a few of us. There's safety in numbers. The rest of us could get in.

It is if you change "parrot" to "flying monkey" -- Now THAT would just plain be cool.

First and foremost, you have to speak japanese with a pirate accent...

(Underworld was indeed cheesy for the most part - I even fell asleep in the cinema while watching. The optical presentation was cool, however.)

Once again, Paizo shows me that I am not alone. I honestly thought I was the only one who fell asleep on that piece of crap.

Well, even though I bashed on it first, I can't say I totally hated the movie. It did have Kate Beckinsale, for example, and she's pretty easy on the eyes. It had some cool action sequences and it looked nice. I didn't fall asleep while watching it. But I guess it's just the concept of the Vampire-Werewolf that I couldn't get past. It just seemed like something I would have come up with when I was 13. Of course, there's a lot more to the movie than that, and it was entertaining enough, I suppose. So I didn't hate it, but it wasn't exactly great cinema either. On the other hand, the movie "Sky High" with Kurt Russell was on TV twice last night and I watched it nearly one and a half times, so I certainly can't throw stones...

The sequel was definitely an improvement but, in all honesty, I'll watch pretty much any movie that has anything to do with vampires, even if the acting is terrible and the plot is contrived.

I feel that same way about Zombie movies. I've never seen a bad one.

It's also kind of like a TARDIS, in that the inside is larger than the outside. Except that, in this case, the inside is smaller than the outside.

James has dreds formed of chains. His guilt over a materialistic life is overshadowed only by that of having shot the sheriff, and not the deputy.

Doctor McNinja is something of an acquired taste :) The particular story I linked to involved the doctor seeking out his father (also a McNinja, of course), who was hiding out disguised as a pirate.
