Iggwilv’s Legacy: The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth
By Edward Albert, Ari Marmell, and C.A. Suleiman
One of the most ambitious projects to ever hit Dungeon, the classic 1st Edition module is freshly updated to D&D 3.5. Plus, the adventure features a new prelude and a follow-up adventure that takes the PCs to Tsojcanth’s lair.

How long is the trial period?
I saw one quote (sorry, don't have the link) from a WotC on-line staffer that said "8 months" - basically until 4th Ed is released. That's good for me, since I won't be rolling over to 4th Ed anytime soon. Basically getting all the 3.5 stuff they plan on releasing free.

Excellent. That is basically what I plan on doing myself, but I wouldn't want to miss out on a revamp of such a classic.

I'm just glad it's hitting during the "Free Trial" period.
Wait, what?! Free?! Oh hell, now I'm gonna have to swallow my pride and freely join up so I can pick this up. Does anyone know how the content is packaged? Is it PDFs or just some sort of printable webpage (which can, of course, be printed as a PDF), not unlike their current online articles?

No one knows yet, or at least not that's willing to tell us.

From my understanding Dragon and Dungeon articles will be released around three times a week and will be compiled to a PDF format similar to the print layout every month

It's certainly cool to see that adventures that were rejected for the print edition of Dungeon have another chance with the online edition!
The pessimist in me is saying: Paizo thought this piece was a steaming pile, but the new team is desperate to slap something together and call it an offering to appease the community.

...and to call it "One of the most ambitious projects to ever hit Dungeon"...
Well, they do say "one of", which it certainly seems to qualify for. I don't know if it is the most ambitious project, but it has potential to be right up there with the 3 adventure paths and Maure Castle (putting it in the top 5). And I'm also interested in seeing S4 converted, as it's one of my favourites as well. the only problem is, I did the same thing with my group quite a while ago (it was a bit of a hack job converting to 3.0). I may take their's and do a "Return to..." type thing, but I'll have to see how it looks. I'm especially curious about the tack on at the end to see what it's like.
Also, "ambitious" doesn't necessarily mean "good". :-)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting good or bad, I don't know any of the authors involved, so I'll wait and see. I'm hoping for a re-inventing (a la the Expedition to... series) with a reason why Drelzna would still be there (my group managed to defeat her the last time they went through it). It was a memorable battle, what with the party powerhouse - a wizard - getting dominated and all. So I actually hope it's good because the original holds some great memories, and it would be fun to redo it with my group. I'm just not holding my breath, is all.
The upside is, it's free, so at the absolute worst, it won't be worth less than I pay for it. :-)
