I think that's up to gobbo. Even JJ has suggested PCs get one bonus feet from their district, but that it is, as ever, the GM's call.

Added some background information.
Any thoughts from the gallery on the turn undead or variant class feature thing?
I would stick with turning, or see if you can do the turning damage thing (1d6/level damage to undead in a 30'burst centered on cleric, Can't remember the book that is in or if I have the damage output correct.). Also there are alot of feats that you can take to use turn checks to do things like heal.
Just an opinion. It is your PC, flavor as you like.

Yeah, I remembered Mr. Jacobs putting that out there for them and assumed it was stated in the Players Guide but I could be mistaken. Just wondering because I did in my players game and it seems to work decently because the feats aren't all that amazing, certainly not up to snuff on regular feats.

I think I did a good job making Kora more detailed than in the mag.
I based her off an old lady that used to live near me. she always made cookies.
When she started talking about her dead son, I started picturing Mrs. Laningham, President Bartlett's secretary on West Wing.

Yeah. I like a fast moving game, but this game is moving way faster than most pbp games Im in .... and faster than I can keep up with (when I'm alseep!)
The normal convention in most of the games here is to allow 12 or 24 hours for everyone to post before moving the action along. It helps if ppl can let everyone know in advance if they are expected to be offline for a longer than normal time.
Just a heads up, I very rarely have internet access over the weekends (that's from mid Friday to mid Sunday for most of you in the US) and I'm online on and off for about 9 hours of the day during the week.

Heh. This game is moving MUCH faster than the one I'm running, so I've been a little surprised with the alacrity of posts.
I'm okay with it, but still.

Gents, I'm going offline for the weekend shortly. I'll be back on line Sunday night / Monday morning.
I suggest we should have an in-character planning session before we go charging off to the boat?
I'm with Mothman (or is it "mothers"?), I also will be away for the weekend, but will be back on Sunday Arvo / evening Australian time, which I think is probably Saturday night or so in the US.?
An in character planning session would be a very good thing.

Thanks for pasting my last post into your reply Lyssa, apparently the original has disappeared yet again. Whhhheeeeeeee.
It seems to be happening all over the place on the boards today! Frustrating as all hell!

Ah, I figured what the heck. See where the flirting leads in the game, and enjoying the roleplaying. S'all good! He may cool it in a while if he feels his advances aren't wanted but in the meantime, Nature-boy is tryin' to get some!

I'm leaning heavily towards the "Totemic Demonslayer" prestige class from Dragon 354's Savage Tiding's, although I'll likely need to take a Barbarian Planer Substitution level to get there, plus maybe a level of ranger. Still, it looks like a lot of fun. Thoughts?

Let's steer away from "mothers" for now eh? ;-)

It looks like an awesome class. I'd go for it.

Cool. I figure if I take 2 barbarian, 1 planar barb substitution level (which is easy, because I hate trap sense anyhow), and two levels of wilderness rogue, I'd be set to start it at 6th level. The only problem is, we don't encounter the guy who teaches the prestige class for ages... So really, it would be up to Gobbo, plus I'm not entirely sure how to storyline it yet.

I’ve thought about that conundrum, and I had two ideas; one is that perhaps the local Olman tribes in the Amedio Jungle around Sasserine, in conjunction with the local Church of the Whirling Fury have come up with the same Demon slaying tradition. After all, there’s good reason, with the relative proximity to the Demonskar, and the recent fiendish troubles in Cauldron. Still, unless your character has a background with these local Olman tribes, it probably won’t help you much.
The other idea is just to introduce the prc earlier in the path, when the PCs first reach Farshore – you’ve got a member of the CotWF, you’ve got local Olman villages, so why not?

You know us Aussies, we love our slang!
Although to be honest, many times even my mates don't know exactly what I mean, such is my proficiency with mangling the English (Australian) Language.

You get a free pass for being the people who brought forth Vegemite. Besides, if you really want to hear English mangled, let an American speak it (kidding, kidding)! ;) Oh, and I think it was 352 with the Olman feats. Will check it out again when I get home from work.

EDIT: Eldin's total diplomacy modifier is +7, but he's not much good at bluffing. If we go straight diplomacy, he might be the best face man, but if it seems like a bluff is called for, perhaps Lyssa should do the talking.
FYI, Lyssa's Diplomacy and Bluff are both +6. But intelligence is sexy, right?
Charm Person's also been known to work wonders; unfortunately, the casting is conspicuous (VS - at least without metamagic)
Per the SRD:
A creature that successfully saves against a spell that has no obvious physical effects feels a hostile force or a tingle, but cannot deduce the exact nature of the attack. Likewise, if a creature’s saving throw succeeds against a targeted spell you sense that the spell has failed.
And even assuming the target fails the save, we shouldn't charm someone when there will be adverse consequences when he realizes later he was bewitched.

![]() |

Aha! But under Hypnotism:
Even after the spell ends, the creature retains its new attitude toward you, but only with respect to that particular request.
A creature that fails its saving throw does not remember that you enspelled it.
Possibilities . . .
Indeed. That could work!
At worst, I'd like to be able to get up onto the deck of the ship without having to fight our way up whilst climbing.
