Background:
Eldin was born in the port known as The Styes, far to the north. Leaving that cess-pool of corruption and wickedness as a teenager, the young half elf travelled far and wide, becoming a worshipper, and eventually cleric of the god Fharlanghn.

Five years ago, he joined an organization known as The Striders of Fharlanghn, and travelled with them to Sasserine in persuit of an evil cult known as The Cagewrights. After some time, he group determined that the Cagewrights were based around the nearby city of Cauldron, but when much of the group left for Cauldron to face them, Eldin stayed behind in Sasserine, keeping an eye out for local fiendish activity, researching into the Cagewrights plans and their hellish origins, and liasing with the local church of Fharlanghn. During his time in Sasserine, Eldin based himself mainly in the Merchant’s Quarter, not far from the shrine to Fharlanghn, but also travelled widely over the local area.

When the Cagewrights were eventually defeated by the Striders and a band of local adventurers, Eldin journeyed to Cauldron, spending some time helping to rebuild the roads leading up to the city, and also spending about a year tending the shrine to Fharlanghn at the Lucky Monkey on the road back to Sasserine.

He returned to Sasserine about a year ago, helping out at the shrine in the Merchant’s Quarter, as well as working part time as a scribe for the Dawn Council. After a year he is starting to become eager to move on, and is considering joining a band of adventurers looking for a priest.

Eldin recently gained a measure of minor local fame, when he intervened to break up a fight between the armed guards of two rival merchants outside the shrine to Fharlanghn.
