This is Fatespinner. I've got the avatar for the evil wizard. Give me a bit to stat up the character and I'll stick it up on this profile page.

These new avatars are freakin' sweet!

Done.

This is Dreamweaver here is my halfling rogue. Stats are in the profile.

That should round out the Red team now.

Here I am. If all ye' pathetic whelps are ready then lets get crackin'!
Yep, he's a psycho. Is this going to be a last man standing match? I take it that flaws (UA) aren't allowed. I'm working on a charcter sketch, I'll put it somewhere online and post a link if it turns out well.

He said Core books only, so I'm gonna have to say probably not.

I know, but I can still hope.

Hehe. Yeah, tell me about it. Spellcasters who only have Core spells to pull from are hurting (of course, so is everyone else). I would've loved to have a lesser orb spell but I guess magic missile will have to do...

I'm really missing the Complete Warrior because Raurik is a pre-existing character, who was originally a Hexblade. I'm also missing Oversized TWF, because he originally fought with two Dwarven Waraxes. But he works pretty well as a fighter.

Just give it time probably after a few fights, once we see how it runs we'll probably be able to use any kind of book. I'm inchin to use some other than the core books.

Well I'm missing my changling and my weird characters that i like to make for the heck of it. Like half-drow dragon or half fiend. I even miss my raptorian.

Thats what I figure, I'm just going to bide my time until then. Mabye multiclass into Hexblade.

That is funny both of the fighter are psychos or crazy *high five*

We should have flaws and trait to build the character a little bit, but again it is the DM that makes the choice.

Backround: Aldurin Dolkin had no parents and if he did he would have killed them. Aldurin is crazed, paranoied that the world is after him,(well they are) He is known to be a killer with no emotions, just emotions of evil! Aldurin doesn't take orders, he mostly stalks his prey at night. He heard of these competition and thought it would be a good idea. before he every gets his victim he gets a pouch full of sand. As soon was he gets it out throws the sand on the ground( no there are no effects to this, just for show.) Aldurin before attacking always taunts his victim before attacking. Aldurin is a man of mystery, he will do anything he can to win the fight. THE END

Vissigoth if i missed anything or messed anything up let me know.

For some reason, it won't work, i guess when i go to my sisters in Connecticut i can use here computer to put it in.

I don't do high-fives, human. I do low fives. Low fives to the shins. Thats why they call me Shins. You want a low-five Scrawny? Ach, no I won't do that to ya, Scrawny. You look like someone I might like. Whadda ya say? Go out have a few pints o' fine dwarven ale an start a few brawls? Lets here it for us!
This is gonna be fun! However, yes, high five. It is cool that we're both lunatic fighters. Lets here it for the loonies!

Ya kno Shins our team is going to be interesting. I don't think anyone on our team is taller than 4ft.

Thats where the tall bastards make their mistake. They think that because we're short we aren't as dangerous. But it puts those kneecaps at optimal height. I'ne ne're seen any tough guy stand up to a good thumping of the kneecaps

I see we're gonna be good teammates even if you are psycho.

So it looks like the Gray Elf Wizard is out? If so cool, he will be a gnome instead, but wondering why? It is in the MM after all :)

I'll post stats now.

be what race you want that's fine. I think he just put down what he thought you wanted to be. I know it will ok to be Gray Elf Wizard. OK?

Well, Jacyn is now up and ready to go. Thanks go to Fatespinner for the excellent formatting I blatantly stole for my Profile.

What's your specialty and prohibited schools?

Interesting that the arcane casters on both sides went for wizards rather than sorcerers ... and both have toad familiars! (although that's not too hard to figure out why...)

Oops, I meant Generalist Wizard. I would REALLY love to use the generalist wizard variant from Races of the Wild, but unfortunantly we are limited to core.

And yeah, when you are starting at level 1, the Toad as Familiar is really a no brainer.

As for wizard over sorcerer, with (presumably) only 1 combat a day, the extra spells of a sorc. aren't worth loosing the flexibility of a wizard.

Yeah, I suppose this thing could be over in a few rounds...

Yeah should be, and so getting access to higher level spells a level early is a BIG deal.

Ok. Final teams are:

Blue Team
Arctaris: Raurik 'Shins' Strakeln, Dwarven Fighter
Kadrenis: Lidda Tealeaf, Halfling Rogue
mevers: Jacyn, Gray Elf Wizard
Aubry: Cleric?

Red Team
AWED: Aldrin Dolkin, Human fighter
Fake Healer: Cashmere, Dwarven Druid
Fatespinner: Ennoch the Black, Human Wizard
Dreamweaver: Talin Darkheart, Halfling Rogue

We can start as soon as I get Aubry's character.

Please find Haad Knut, cleric of Hextor, the adamantine fist in the spiked mail glove and the hardest working man in show business. Details in the character profile.

Speak for yourself, short-arse.

I've made some corrections to your characters. Please let me know if I've made any mistakes.

Arctaris
- Changed spiked gauntlet damage from 1d3+7 to 1d4+3
- Changed Bluff from +3 to +5 (4 ranks, +1 CHA)
- Changed Sense Motive from +2 to +4 (4 ranks, +0 WIS)

AWED
- Changed hit points to 11 (max on 1d10 +1 CON)
- What is a composite crossbow? I assumed you meant a composite shortbow. What strength rating does it have?
- Changed Fortitude save to +3 (+2 base, +1 CON)
- Changed Willpower save to +2 (+0 base, +2 WIS)
- You are over the 200gp limit by 64gp. Please fix this.

I'll hopfully finish reviewing characters by saturday.

Yup, i meant shortbow:) i kept looking for the strenght rating and saw that they need a Strength Mod so +2(don't really understand) Otherwise everything is all set to go.

I sense the confusion here. A normal composite shortbow has +10 ft. range on a regular shortbow and requires a Strength of at least 10 or 12 (can't remember which) to use without penalty (I think). What Viss is talking about is a mighty composite bow, one that allows you to add some (or all) of your strength bonus to damage. I believe those will be a bit outside the scope of our finances at this point.

It pleases me to see so many subjects so eager to die and find their way into my laboratory. I assure you, your deaths will be quick and painless. After death, however, I can make no guarantees...

heheheheheh.... look at all the pretty teeth. All theses people ready die in a dark corner with my sword in the gut and the last thing they will see is my boot knocking out their teeth.

I kinda modeled Cashmere's persona after the Iron Shiek so the smack talk is a bit of a requirement for him.

The Exchange

Hey Heathy, why not stat up a meat shield based on The Macho Man and join the fun?
OH YEAH, BROTHER!!

Rowdy Roddy Piper anyone?
Some Ultimate Warrior?

Join us!

I'm thinkin about it. My computer's effin up at the house, though, so I don't think goin' to that invisible castle will work for me too good.
Soon's I can get a new one, tho--lookout!

The spiked gauntlet damage is for a medium creature and I think that dwarves are considered medium creatures.
I only have 2 ranks in both Bluff and Sense Motive because they are cross-class skills for a fighter.

Arctaris wrote:

Dwarves are Medium creatures. :)
