Found two new roleplaying groups here in the new city, via our FLGS - one I´m DMing Rise of the Runelords for right now, the other started with the german Midgard RPG, now we try Ars Magica with me at the helm. The latter includes the owners of the FLGS, who are now friends of ours.
Oh and Dresden still is a beautiful city after two years, and Prague is not far away (about 1.5 hours per train). Life is good.
Come March I'll get a 50% increase in working hours in a location where I'll be home 1-5 minutes after I've finished.
I got a call from my mom just because. It came while I was in the middle of something else, but hey, I'm not gonna turn down a Mom hug.

Woohoo I am a dad again - Mrs The8thDwarf has given birth to our third Dwarfling, on Tuesday at 4am and my Tiny Dwarfling weighed in at 4kg I am not sure what that is in pounds.
We are now dealing with epic feeding sessions and lack of sleep :-)

I've meant to post here for a long long time, as a contradiction of my other post. You might want to read that first...
We've found out Thomas does not have NP-C! Sure he's still ill (and has some undiagnosed genetic condition), and it takes us quite a lot of effort to have some semblance of normal life, but as far as our doctors can assure us, he's not going to die before he gets to high school. Hooray!
Aah, that feels better. A balance. :-)
I took a nice poop today. It was so awesome, that I want to commission monty python to spearhead a campaign where it is acceptable to say, "have a nice poop" when you see someone going into the bathroom with a book.

Lets see... despit the fact that I work at hell...or at least a hospital...and make almost no money. The most amazing woman in the entire multiverse has been with me since 2008 and has been my wife since 2011. No matter how bad my bad day is here I know at the end of my 12hr shift she will make the day better. So that is my good thing for the day.

I was complimented by a fellow dog walker on how calm and quiet my dogs are when we encounter other dogs (inside the house they bark at everything that happens outside). But it made me feel like I did something good without even knowing how I did it.
Also grateful for the assistance from a local charity that helped me pay my power bill this month. Here in Arkansas it's been really hot and humid so my electric bill was pretty high. I'll actually have money left over this month so I can pay for my own meds and food for my dogs without asking for help from someone. Pretty excited about that.
