...hands down, which Pathfinder cover art (Goblins or Ghouls) to make my desktop. It took about an hour and a half...I'm not even f&~%ing kidding. I would put one up...and then put the other one up...and then repeat. I finally settled on Skinsaw Murders...as much as it pains me to have Pett cover art on my desktop, something about a trio of ghouls stuffing a wrapped corpse down a well just brightens my day every time I see it.
I have never been so happy in my life.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, that felt good.

I had to go goblins. I've been telling my wife for weeks that James' and Wayne's goblins are so horrifically cute that I want one for my desktop and home security. (IE, a plush and a real, live goblin for protection--if he eats my dog, so be it, that's the price of safety.)

I don't even do desktop wallpaper art, and as soon as I saw the ghouls I knew it had to be there.
I even put all the cluttery icons of install files and random things I'd downloaded to my desktop into a 'clutter' folder so I could see it all in its dark and sinister glory. Tidiest my desktop's been since I bought the PC!

I've had the cover of Dragon 310 up for over a year now, ever since I downloaded that issue. Must be time to change. I was thinking of Wayne Reynolds' sorceress, but maybe the ghouls would be even better.
Edit: White background doesn't go well on the desktop. Ghouls it is. Guess I'll have to change from the "lust" domain to the "gluttony" domain. ;)

They're not quite sized for desktop wallpaper yet -- that's on the to-do list -- but you can get them from the Pathfinder blog.

Sorry goblin fans..had to go with the ghouls. They've just got that Lovecraftian "Pickman's Model" thing going on with them.
And as much as I love Logue's work, after reading through "Serpents of Scuttlecove" I am having a seriously Pavlovian response to the thought of Mr. Pett putting his spin on the ghouls. Ohhh yeah!

You know, I almost feel sorry for them

mmmm had not thought of trying them out on the desktop.
Tried the dragon (have a thing for dragons)...
tried the goblins (I mean come on they are the COOLEST goblins ever)...
and then the ghouls (ewwww...)
which to use...
Problem solved... rotate at random between them, to change every 30 minutes.
Now I am a happy dwarf!

Wait a minute, down the well?!? I thought the ghouls were pulling a body out of the well...
I see a group of noisy adventurers marching up to the haunted house with torches blazing and weapons in hand. The "master" of the house sent the "evidence" out the secret tunnel via his "servants".

Oh no.
That's not what I see at all.
We all know adventurers come in groups of four right?
How many do you count in that party at the door?
Also note how the guy with the sword is facing back the way they came slightly like: "Hey! Where did Crothgar go?!"
Paralyzed adventurer in canvas wrap...soon to be food.
That's what Nick sees.

See I was afraid that the 4 character adventure party was the IP of WotC...never mind, I told my self it was time to move on :)

The hardest decision I have to make this year is wether to continue STAP or switching to RotRAP. Savage Tide is surely the best campaign I have ever run, it has simply everything! But I am running it in Eberron and at the moment I don't want to have contact to anything from Wizards! I don't want to read their novels, I don't want to study their rulebooks, I don't want to run their adventures and I don't want to put my time into a setting those own. My feelings are perhaps not that rational or reasonable, but I am that frustrated that a company stops the production of products that are of high quality and sell good, in favor of products that are of lower quality to make more money. I know there has been a lot of this topic these days, but that's the way I see it.
IMHO Pathfinder is the way to go! If the quality is the same as in Dragon and Dungeon, and I bet it will increase, it is the best the industry has to offer. As I mentioned in other threads: the more Paizo I consumed the more Greyhawk I wanted, but as my players never found an entry to this world we missed that one.
Pathfinder would give us the chance to experience everything from the beginning and as Mr. Mona and Mr. Jacobs will make the major decisions (AFAIK) it will be some kind of Greyhawk reborn. Actually my players are quite interested into it. One already got a subscription, another will surely buy the first issue to see if it's any good for him and the others love the things I tell them about the blogs.
As we only come together very seldomly to play it would take us two more years to finish STAP and it wouldn't be the same starting RotRAP.
What a hard decision!

Couldn't your Eberron campaign "evolve"?
Or couldn't you just stay true to the original geography etc. of STAP?
I recall reading that previous adventure paths should fit smoothly into the new Paizo campaign setting.
I am not happy about WotC's decision, either. And I don't like all of their latest publications, either.
But I won't judge them before I get a look at their new digital Dragon and Dungeon (if it ever appears). I am pretty sure, though, that I won't pay both a Pathfinder and a digital Dragon/ Dungeon subscription. And I am pretty sure that Paizo got both a time and a sympathy head start that should be hard to beat... (not speaking about WotC's favourite media: purely electronic! :(( )
Whatever their policy might be like: I already own a huge stack of books and will keep on using them.
Greetings,
Günther
