Just a heads up guys, it is a public holiday here on Monday, so I may not get a chance to post till Tuesday. I’ll try to check the boards (and post if I can) over the weekend some time, but no guarantee.

you could gave described that last room with a little less detail! |-& urg

Well I am trying to run a horror campaign.

My posting time is going to drop rather drastically until the 15th of November. My father, who was stuck in a very unpleasant management position, got a DWAI in August and just got this little anklet thing that keeps track of his movements so he doesn't deviate from a set schedule. Unfortunately the box that goes with this doohcky has to be plugged into the phone. Since we are on dial-up we don't have internet access for a whole f#%$ing month. Fortunately a friend who lives a couple of miles down the road will let us use his internet. I should be able to post on Fridays (mostly in the evening), sometimes Thursdays, and maybe a few othr days for a little while. I'm really enjoying DMing this campaign for you and I'll try to post as often as I can but it'll slow down. I'll understand if you don't want to play in such a slow campaign and want to drop out. Sorry for the inconvience.

I'm thinking about recruiting another player if Lord Hyrax is uninterested in continuing (I just sent him an email) but I wanted to get everyone's opinions before I did.
Do we want another player or do we want to keep the group as is? Certain elements of what I have planned would be easier (for you guys) with five people, but the group also has a nice, dysfunctional dynamic as is. Opinions?

Don't really care much.

Still awaiting word from Mothman and Aubrey...

Much as it might be good to have a healer or a trap-finder, I'm quite happy with the group dynamic as it is. My vote is probably to keep it at 4, but I can bend on that.

Corvin can be a trap-finder. He finds traps by setting them off. Wahahahaha!

Hey guys, just an early heads-up. I will be on holidays from the 22nd of December through to the 6th of January. My internet access and ability to post will be fairly limited during that period.

No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30

Arctaris, I'm going to drop out of the PbP's I am a player of to concentrate on the ones I DM. Thanks for a great game and best of luck with the campaign.

Sorry to hear that but I understand. Best of luck in your own campaigns and thanks for Dohrlok's additions to the game. How do you want Dohrlok to exit?
Provided everyone else wants to continue, I'll put up a thread later looking for another player. This won't work with three players.

The Exchange

Dohrlok can exit as you see fit, but preferably not as a zombie. :-)

Alright, no zombies. He'll probably end up as a plot exposition.
BTW, are we losing Rokko in Dragonmann's PbP? It'd be a shame and a mage is always handy to have around (escpecially when we're facing a mind-flayer).

Dayum. I'm sorry to see you go.

By the way, Arctaris, I think Sling Bla- I mean, Brick has got it covered in the mage department. Or not. It's Dragonmann's call.

Brick's a divine caster not an arcanist though. Divine casters are great but it's always good to have a focused arcane caster around.
Anyway, I'm starting the reqruitment thread later. Maybe I can ruslte up a healer for you guys.

Dwarf Rogue 1

OK - here he is in all his glory.

French Wolf, a lot of your backround works quite well some of my plot elements. I'm woking on a way to introduce you and I'll post further once I've figured it out.

I await your response and I'll change anything to better suit your campaign (except his name).

Cheers

No more kobold band aid boxes.

Dwarf Rogue 1

Keep the band aid boxes handy. He ain't called an outcast for nothing. And sweet he definitely isn't.

The Exchange

OK I have read most of the thread, so I'll mentally make him a little more friendly and willing to help you poor unfortunates.

This is one nasty adventure I'm getting into.

Well, compared to the one-use kobold clerics.

The Exchange

And Colvin Thaddeus Killgannon is one of the nastiest.

Has anyone here played through or read the Skinsaw Murders?

I flipped through it, but didn't *read* it. Why, by chance, are you asking?

Part of Skinsaw Murders fits with where I want to take this game. Besides, its a beautifully written module (beautiful in a sadistic horrifying kind of way) and I want to run part of it.

The Exchange

I have it. I'll be running it sometime towards the end of the year and I've only read it once.

DM Spoiler

Spoiler:
I have taken and used most of the haunts in my own campaign already though. But I can ignore that knowledge if necessary.

Have it, but haven't read it, as I'm currently a player in Burnt Offerings.

I HAVE read the Magnimar backdrop.

The Magnimarian backdrop isn't relevant to what I want to do, since it isn't set in Golarion.

Would everyone possessing the Skinsaw Murders mind not reading the Skinsaw Murders for a while? If that's not practical for you I'll understand.

The Exchange

Will do, DM Actaris.

Cheers

I read it when it came out, a few months ago. I'll try not to metagame what I remember.

Shouldn't be a problem - I dont think Im running it any time soon, though I have picked up a few spoilers from flicking through the book and from the boards...

Feh. I just look at the pictures. I subscribe for the pictures. Yeah. I'm hardcore like that.

Sorry about my infrequent posting, life is moving at an uncomtrable rate for me so I'm trying to sort everything out, trying not to mess things up to bad. I'll try to post as much as I can! If you need to NPC me Arctarus, you know Tsiilmas pretty well.

Right, 14 bucks a month for the pictures.

Seems as though you guys will get to go through a modified part of the Skinsaw Murders.

Alas, yes. I'm all too well aquainted with the moderately dashing elf.

Seriuosly, I understand dude. Hopefully college and stuff will settle down enough that you can post regularly again
On another note. I'm pretty busy with school at the moment and I'm having a hard time NPCing Dohrlok. Could someone perhaps take the helm on that one until I can find a way to exit him? PBemDM perhaps you could NPC Dohrlok until we get you in, since that could be a while.

DM Actaris

Spoiler:
Here is my first post just to help you set the scene.

Hunched over in a corner is a ragged stump. His grey cloak can be just made out despite the filth covering him. Turning with a faint whimper, the straggly beard moves and a hoarse sound is expelled.

“Wuh.”

He tries again.

“Wuh darknights? huholp me?”

Two gleaming eyes flicker across everyone and fade into dullness again. He turns his hooded face back into the corner.

And whimpers some more. The harsh voice bounces off the stones back at the party.

“Oooh rats trixs.werry trixs. Nope-lay.”

A waft of waste and decayed earth comes off the body.

I am going to try to roleplay for a while that Arodwumm believes the party are demons (dark knights) come to save him from the kobolds (rats). But I imagine that his madness will gradually reduce as he recovers his freedom.

I'll wait for someone to climb up and then join in. Thanks for the information. I REALLY hate kobolds now, and don't get me started on eyelass sacks!

I can play Dohrlok temporarily until my permanent PC comes into play. Shall I jump right in?

P.S. - Do I need to know his stats, or should I just punt?

OK - I'm in.
