Slayer - "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" (Iron Butterfly cover)

I never liked their cover of "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida". Of course, not being a Slayer fan probably has something to do with that. Though I do love me some Iron Butterfly.

How about the time Slayer covered Suicidal Tendencies for 55 seconds?

I like Winwood when he's with Clapton. Steely Dan is brilliant...well, was. Do they have any new material or is it all from '70s?

No new material, just a sort of greatest hits tour. They left out "Do It Again", "FM", and "Deacon Blues", which was disappointing, but I've never seen a tighter band. Steve Winwood's show was the same, a sort of retrospective of his career and he seemed like a genuinely nice guy when addressing the audience.

The 2016 BET Awards were important for the Jesse Williams speech...and the Roots performance with Erykah Badu and Bilal. But The Sheila E medley took me way back!

I don't have cable or satellite television, so I've never seen Fargo. It's cool they used that piece of music in it!

I got the series from the library on dvd. Great stuff! The first season has ties to the original Fargo movie, but this season doesn't yet...or they are pretty obscure. Still have 3 eps left. They even got some Pink Floyd into an episode! They've played tracks from their older movies too. 'Man of Constant Sorrow', 'Didnt Leve Nobody But the Baby', and 'Just Dropped In to See What Condition My Condition Was In', but not the versions you've heard on the Coens' soundtracks...remixes I guess, or covers.

Been in a weird mood, so I've been listening to Fire Bomber American - English Fire which is an album of English versions of the fictional band Fire Bomber's hits from the Macross 7 anime (although the equally fictional Fire Bomber American claims they're the original).

Like said, weird mood.
