Tone Float Organisation, who turned into Kraftwerk. Sounds nothing like the Kraftwerk we all know and (possibly) love, though.
Organisation is the new Golem.

Klaus Layer: German breakbeat. Sounds like the late '90s... in a good way.

The stuff on page 127,
and, to kick off Funk for Friday! a bit early, the official trailer to a new Fela documentary!

About time I made a contribution to Funk for Friday.
So:
Lyn Christoper - Take me with you

I've had this song stuck in my head all week. It's a good one, but if it sticks any longer, I'm going to pry it out with a crowbar.

Sunday Songs of Praise!
Blind Willie Johnson--Dark Was the Night
Grooveshark only give you three of the tracks, but you'll probably get the idea.

Aquaman's rousing song of heroism.
It's the perfect song for Inspire Courage. Everything done in the video can be done by spells or Su/SLA.

Random stuff I listened to the last couple days:
Thin Lizzy - Dear Lord
The Kooks - Around Town shades of Le Femme Nikita
Dropkick Murphy's - Skinhead on the MBTA
and a tip of the hat to The Crow to send off:
Pantera - The Badge

Just watched the CBGB movie this past week. I liked it. The goofy redhead sidekick of Harry Potter plays CheetahChrome from Dead Boys, which was weird.
Exposed to some crazy thrash from Mexico.
Brujeria...which turns out to have quite the pedigree and isn't really from Mexico as they'd like you to believe. Wiki entry
and early stuff that I would have LOVED at 16. Me and my friends would've made up the phonic version of the lyrics.

I'm going to a LARP set in 1950 tonight. Picking up a bottle of Jack to help also.
Thought this Cake song was what you were going to link. Though Frank would definitely play during a 50's LARP. Johnny Mathis or Mel Torme too.
Phil Hartman played a pretty mean Sinatra on SNL back in the day.

Less culty unhinged wigout, more psyche-y country rock, a la Workingmen's Dead/American Beauty era Grateful Dead or A Jug of Love by Mighty Baby which is also well worth a listen, if only because it's the only actual Islamic country and western (ish) album in existence, so far as I know.
