Is there a feat to give you access to non-class skills?

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I can recall a feat in dragon magazine that allows a character to take 2 skills that were not on your class list and make them class skills. I am not sure what dragon magazine I saw this in.

One of the requirements of the feat was for the user had to have a Chaotic alignment.

Any help would be appreciated.

The feat's called "Flexible Mind". It was in the "Chaos Feats" article (Dragon #326, p. 80).

Thanks for the help, you rock.

Cheers! That was my first paid article in Dragon (and hopefully not the last)!

Any chance you can post the feat. I am currently playing and left that magazine at home.

Not the full text.
You've got to be chaotic. Choose two skills you have ranks in; they are always considered class skills. You also receive a +1 bonus on checks with the two skills.

There is also a feat in the Unearthed Arcana book called "Skill Knowledge" that allows you to take a cross-class skill and make it a class skill. No requirements necessary.

Is there one that lets you take one like the monks ability to add his wis bonus to his AC when unarmored that a chaotic good ranger can take as there is no way I can take a monk level not being Lawful? I had heard some whispers that their exists a feat or class skill or something that is based on combat dance or intuition or such that lets you add your charisma bonus to ac. I would like to avoid loosing a class level to take one level of some random class if possible; anyone know a feat or such?

Battle Dancer (Dragon Compendium) level 1 lets you add your Charisma to AC.

Monk & Ninja (Complete Adventurer) level 1 and Swordsage (Tome of Battle) level 2 let you add your Wisdom to AC.

There’s no feat I’m aware of that lets you add Wis or Cha bonus to AC.

*ugh* Feat. FEAT! Feet are the things at the ends of your legs. Feats are special abilities. And anyway, the feat in question doesn't give you access to *ANY* feats, it gives you the ability to make skill checks with any skill; even ones in which you have no ranks.

Cosmopolitan 3.0 did this, as did the Versatile feat from Oriental Adventures/Rokugan. Both had you select two cross-class skills, which now became class skills.
