One of my players has recently shown interest in taking the "Mage of the Arcane Order" prestige class and I would like a little more information to provide him with to flesh-out that section of his character. Being something of a "hawker", I know of the Grey College, but their is little source information for that group that I have found.
So, a challenge to the other Hawkers out there...name some of the Arcane Orders (other than The Eight) in Greyhawk and detail what is known of them (and what sources might be used to research them).

Since the beginning of the AoW AP takes place next to Greyhawk, this city has a famous Mage Guild. I don't remember if that guild does have a name (you can invent your own), however head of the guild is one of the ruler in Greyhawk oligarchy, and is around 15/17 levels high.
If your PC is an elf (or half elf), Celene is not far from Greyhawk and is the last only-elf kingdom. It certainly has a guild of its own, and Prince Melf Brightflame (around F4/W12-13) could be close to that guild, even one of its ruler (the very creator of Melf's acid arrow).
Otherwise, you can also look at the suel-arcanamarch prestige class in the complete arcana. Also, in that book, if I remember well, they describe a mage guild. One of the last dragon mag also described special mage college, that could have their own guild.

I'm also familiar with the Wrinkle Academy in Verbobonc. There's a new one in the city of Cauldron but the name escapes me. I know the Silent Ones of Keoland were detailed in one of the early Living Greyhawk Journals. Don't hesitate to ask if you need more info.

Note that the Society of Magi is only open to members of Greyhwk's Guild of Wizardry who are high-level wizards.
