I am having issues downloading Paizo PDF's on my Android phone. I'm using an HTC inspire and have tried multiple PDF readers including ezreader.and Adobe. When I click on the PDF it just forever says downloading but never actually makes any progress downloading the file. When I had an iPhone I could use goodreader to link to the URL and would have no problems. Is anyone else having the same issue and if not, what PDF reader are you using?

I've experienced a similar problem with using my Kindle Fire to download my purchased pdfs through the Paizo website directly - it just sits there with no progress. However, I can download everything just fine on a Laptop or PC and then transfer via USB cable.
I think it is just limited to my purchased files. I've been able to use my Kindle Fire to download things like the 2012 product catalog just fine from the Paizo website.

I had the same issue with Droid bionic, but I don't think the issue is with the PDF reader. I believe the issue is that when you download the files, you are downloading a zip file. Droid does not seem to be able to deal with them. If you down the load the file to a laptop or desktop computer, extract the files and then copy the actual PDF files on to your device, you should not have a problem.

I'm not sure what the problem is, if it is the device itself, the browser, or a way that Paizo handles the zip files that are purchased.
I've had no problem viewing my pdf's on my device after transferring them via usb cable.
I've also been able to download the catalog via my KF with no problems and it was a zip file. zip files from my downloads no worky.

It's nice to see this post get some attention! For the record I also could download the catalog with no issues. It must have something to do with the process in which they personalize the PDF's. I'm a running gingerbread since the ice cream sandwich update has yet to be released for my phone from ATT. Has anyone else tried this with Android 4.04 (ice cream.sandwic)h and had success other than Parody?

OK. So I'm running froyo and can't download from it. It looks like the browser is handing the pdf off to QuickOffice and quick office is probably not providing the right information to the server to download. Once we get some more breathing room, we'll try to figure this out but for me, at least, it probably has something to do with that hand-off to QuickOffice or whatever other applications are taking control at the site of pdf file. Usually, the browser handles the download and then passes the file off to the application, but that might not be the case with android.

I did some testing last night to help out. My ability to download ended sometime after updating to Gingerbread, judging by my download history. This has only affected the stock browser's capabilities to download. When I tried out firefox last night, I was able to download things from the paizo store (in this case, SGG's Inquisitor's Judgements).
Incidentally, the new version of FF is coming out which gets rid of that 30 seconds loadup.

I just downloaded the new FireFox app and was able to download the Paizo PDF's. I was attempting to use the default browser and dolphin before. I'm not sure what it is about Android's system that FireFox is bypassing but at least there is a solution. Hopefully Paizo can still get to the root of it for the purpose for those who don't use FireFox.
