Not only do you get six new base classes that have been extensively playtested by more than 50,000 of your fellow gamers, but you get archetypes—a new idea to tweak classes from the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook to give them a new spin. This book raises a mountain of great ideas for characters and NPCs alike!

Explore new and uncharted depths of roleplaying with the Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide! Empower your existing characters with expanded rules for all 11 Pathfinder Roleplaying Game core classes and seven core races, or build a new character from the ground up with one of six brand-new, 20-level base classes. Whether you’re designing your own monstrous helpers as an enigmatic summoner, brewing up trouble with a grimy urban alchemist, or simply teaching an old rogue a new trick, this book has everything you need to make your heroes more heroic.

The 336-page Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide includes six new base classes: the monster-hunting inquisitor, the explosive alchemist, the noble cavalier, the prophecy-haunted oracle, the monster-crafting summoner, and the hex-weaving witch; more than a hundred innovative new feats and combat abilities for characters of all classes, including Steal, Point-Blank Master, and Bouncing Spell; variant class abilities, rules subsystems, and thematic archetypes for all 11 core classes, such as the antipaladin, the hungry ghost monk, and the urban ranger; hundreds of new spells and magic items, from phantasmal revenge to the Storm King’s Cloud Castle; a wealth of fantastic equipment, such as fireblast rods and fortune-tellers’ cards; new prestige classes like the Master Chymist and the Battle Herald; and a ton of other stuff that is sure to make your next game memorable!

Got it. Love it. Can't wait for the look on my players' faces when they're face to face with some new and exciting NPCs.

The beauty of the book, I think? None of the new builds obsolete the core classes. Balance is paramount. Players are not at a disadvantage if they do not spend the money on this book, nor do they get a serious advantage for the purchase. Instead, they are rewarded with options to create nearly any kind of character they can imagine.

Great work, Paizo.

Sovereign Court

How many weeks from now can I expect to wait before this is on my FLGS' shelves?

Liberty's Edge

I got a call from my FLGS that mine is in.
Unfortunately my FLGS is not as "local" as I would like and I can't get it until Monday.

I'm not at GenCon. I don't have my APG.

This is me weeping.

The Exchange

Got it a couple of days ago, and this is a hell of a good book. I wholeheartedly recommend it too ALL Pathfinder supporters, players and GMs alike.

Assuming the owner of my FLGS got his shipment from whatever distributer he uses, it should be here today. Still have to wait an hour and a half for him to open, though...

Everything OK? Something caught in your throat?

is book really is great, best charterer options book I have seen in a long time. I have one problem with the book, No fireblast rods, they are on the back cover but not in the book. Not very important really I just want to know what they are, I was thinking some kind of alchemical item that shoots a blast of fire. sounds cool. really the book is awesome, buy it.

"Taking our characters to 11" is not a big problem.

Now, taking our characters up to 21 would be an achievement!
