A Pathfinder Bounty designed for 1st-level characters.

A former slave seeks to reclaim a life’s worth of pay from her former captors. Luckily for her, a ship containing the misbegotten wealth of her masters is just off the coast of the city of Kintargo. A group of heroes steps in to assist and claim whatever goods remain on the wreck, but not everything is calm beneath the waves.

    Fun for the whole family

    5/5

I GM'd this for, I think, the ideal case for bounties. My players were my sister, my brother-in-law, my mother and my father while we were having a Christmas get together. Everyone but my father was brand new to Pathfinder, and were almost entirely new to roleplaying games and they were pretty hesitant about playing. They all played level 1 pregens.

This scenario changed their minds. I don't know if they're dedicated Pathfinder fans now, but they came away happy. One thing that I ended up changing was that I gave them a little more denouement after the big fight, mainly because when they critically succeeded on bringing up the chests, I said they note one of the chests had already been looted and they really wanted to find where that loot went. I ended up adlibbing some survival checks to find the grindylow's cache of baubles.

Its pretty high praise that the bounty left a pretty skeptical group wanting more adventure when we got through it.

    A challenging one

    5/5

Yes. the fight is Dangerous. But fun!

I like the ability to balance the challenge

    5/5

I have run it 4 times in the 6 players configuration, I enjoyed each of them.
A very good one, with the implicit possibility for the GM to scale how challenging it makes the whole thing. It also means that the players will be challenged even if they have played it already.
Not imbalanced as maybe Bounty 2 is, but challenging enough that it makes it a good memory once you have played it.

Yay! I've played with Brent, had him as my GM, now I get to play one of his adventures. Totally cannot wait to run this at Thanks 4 Giving! Ooh, and is that a Grindylow on the cover art? And a shipwreck exploration that's just perfect for that Shipwrecks flip mat. I'm just guessing since the maps list is not yet available.
