A Pathfinder Bounty designed for 1st-level characters.

In the frigid region known as the Crown of the World, people from diverse cultures and backgrounds must all band together to survive the long nights of winter and deadly thaws of spring. The way of life of these hardy frontier folk is now threatened by a serpentine creature that slips in during the dead of night and empties their nets of fish and their smoking racks of fresh meat. Unable and unwilling to let this theft stand, the people of the tiny northern town of Aaminiut have placed a bounty on the creature known locally as "the Whitefang Wyrm".

Written by Michael Sayre.

Content sanctioned for use in the Pathfinder Society (second edition) organized play program.

This item is the digitized version of Pathfinder Bounty #1: The Whitefang Wyrm for the Foundry Virtual Tabletop. If you would like to purchase the adventure as a PDF, you can find it here. The Foundry Virtual Tabletop is required to use this product.

This purchase will grant you an activation code (downloadable from your My Downloads page on paizo.com) which can be activated through your Foundry account page on foundryvtt.com. Afterwards you will be able to download and access the module via the Foundry Launcher.

This module contains:

  • Pathfinder Bounty #1: The Whitefang Wyrm: Contains everything you need to run the debut Pathfinder Bounty in the Foundry. The adventure and additional content complete with illustrations, integrated into the Foundry and searchable from within your Virtual Tabletop.
  • Easy Set Up: The adventures are easily set up and ready to play with maps, locations, characters, and adventure content all easily accessible for the GM.
  • Quick and Simple: Designed to be run as a pick-up game or quick side-trek in an ongoing campaign, Pathfinder Bounties are versatile adventures meant to be played in an hour or two.
  • Optimized for Organized Play: Everything you need to run this bounty as part of the Pathfinder Society (second edition) organized play campaign, including notes on rewards and a distributable Chronicle Sheet.

Good Adaptation

The party had a lot of fun with this simple scenario, but being players I had to come up with a couple scenes on the fly as they went in the wrong direction. Make sure to have a couple snowfield and maybe an extra frozen coast map on standby if you are running this on VTT.

Played it today to break the new offer in. It's good to read and run on the screen and my party steamrolled the encounter.

But the tokens on the map seem to be unlinked from the ones in the actor directory. A small issue and fixed in under 5 secs, but it puzzled me for a moment to figure that out.

Also Kudos to the artists and a gridless map. This is a dream to look at!

small addendum from yesterday's second glance: the special ability of the encounter is always scaled to its elite version.

Any chance these will get updated to the new version of foundry? Maybe change the supported tag to 9.x? Just wondering

I'd like to second this, playing PF2e on Foundry is what saved my campaign during the pandemic when we could no longer play in person. It's great that Paizo released these modules, and I'm more than happy to support them and by them, but Paizo needs to ensure they maintain these products otherwise people are buying something that doesn't necessarily work properly, especially as Foundry continues to make rapid improvements to their overall system.

Especially with the transition to Version 9 of Foundry, I think it's important for Paizo to show their faith in the VTT by making sure these modules stay up-to-date. We spent the money to show support for official content on Foundry, so it's only fair that Paizo steps up to the plate to make sure we're able to play these modules.

If they can't, perhaps they need to re-negotiate to have the Foundry versions sold and maintained on Foundry's side, so those with more time and experience with the VTT can more readily maintain it.

All of our Pathfinder Society Bounties now support Foundry versions v10 as well as v9. Thanks for bearing with us while we got everything updated!

Are the journal entries supposed to be blank? I'm using this on Foundry v10 (Build 291) and while I can see the Handouts, all the Journal entries are blank. Did I miss a step during importation?

I bought it today and had some issues getting it to load up. This was a user headspace and timing problem - not a Paizo problem.

This module *is* compatible with Foundry 11 and it loads up and runs great.
