A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3-6.
Venture-Captain Amari Li has called for assistance in establishing new Pathfinder lodges throughout Tian Xia! The mountainous island of Kayajima, in northwestern Minkai, would be an ideal site, as it sits atop a convergence of powerful—though long-dormant—ley lines that could offer valuable protection for a future lodge. Rather than lay claim to the island by force, the Pathfinders must treat with the island's animals and spirits, securing their blessing for a ritual to restore the island's magic and establish the newest Pathfinder lodge.

I really like the early encounters where you attempt to finish the assignment, and depending on your group, easily finish it with good notes. The social encounter is definitely interesting.
My only gripe with this scenario is the boss battle. The lower level boss is really hard to damage if all of the character are level 3. I wish that part of the boss can be tuned at lowest CR. At higher tier, it doesn't feel as bad because said defense is easier to be dealt with. I wish any future encounter within 3-6 tier take different tuning when the group is all level 3 without striking rune.
...Okay, yeah, there is more to comment about: Its good "befriend locals and they come back to help you in finale!" scenario with really great flavor(Aojimitsu the best, sad that party was one point off completely befriending him) and moments, but it for some reason has pointless filler battle with boar. Almost exactly same kind of filler combat as in Devil at the Crossroads. Like I didn't think scenario needed that encounter, and even if it did need third encounter they could have tied it to story somehow.
Boss is really harsh solo boss again in organized player where it isn't guaranteed every character is in tier or party is balanced, but uh, party survived so I guess balance worked? Either way really scary and hard battle, BUT incredibly cool ;D
(another way to summarize the scenario: Clearly Studio Ghibli and Princess Mononoke inspirations)
The first two scenarios this season are about the Society reaching out to places in the world that it has never visited before (a good thing). Is it an accident that this season is titled “the Year of Corruption's Reach?” One wonders.
This was a good scenario. The tests were fulfilling – not bound by strange rules, or flat depending on only the luck of the dice. I love that the scenario left open-ended how the characters would approach and deal with the challenges, rather than making assumptions.
I do think that tengu's body looks bit too human like(I kinda like how most of 1e tengu art either had inhuman posture or were less thin and lean and more... Poofy) but thats more of personal preference, it is a good picture. I also notice its more of folklore tengu reference costume wise
So this is in a "folder" named "Year of Corruption's Reach." Meanwhile, the cover art says "Year of Corruption's Grasp." Just curious: Which one is correct? I'm guessing Grasp -- not only because it is art rather than text, but also because it's better -- but confirmation would be appreciated.

I guess it's a question of whether the Society's reach will exceed its grasp.
I hope this mission doesn't unlock tengu specific background or something :'D Since this does seem like something I'd like to play if I had more acp for tengu character and got them to level 3
Anyone have difficulties with the last boss fight on this one? I'm running this for a group and between the high AC and hardness, they seem incapable of hurting the boss. Perhaps I'm running Hardness incorrectly? Hardness 8 = take 8 dmg off any attack or magic correct? After three rounds, the party has only done about 6 dmg total to this boss and with their challenge points, the boss is supposed to have 115 hp. Yikes, I dont want this to end in a TPK. Any advice?
