Khorshid investigates the crate and finds that it only contained dozens upon dozens of rats and little else that might have even been found useful has either been eaten or waterlogged in the sewer water long ago.
Kyra looks over the grate and finds no more than rust as the Armenian Man steps forward and puts his shoulder into the center of the grate.
ccccrrreeeEAK!"
The grate breaks and topples into the sewage. The walkways to either side of the sewer flow suddenly turn hard to the left and right as the sewer opens into a large 30-foot-by-35-foot chamber. The murky water flow slows here to a crawl and the smells of trash and offal grow strong. Piled in each corner of this room, half on the walkway and half in the water are mounds of storm debris, rubbish, and animal corpses. A large drain pipe juts down a few feet out of the 10-foot-high ceilings and drips water through a grate into the center of the room.
As you draw close to the room you spot one of the mounds of trash shifting about as something large scurries around within. “Like this room better. Big lizard man no kick me from here. This my home.” You hear a muffled vice with speak in between bites of it munching on garbage.

If implanting tricks in himself, the caster merely spends 5 minutes in contemplation; otherwise, he consults star charts while ritually asking the creature questions, and still must touch them to do so. At 1st level, he can select multiple instances of the same trick to implant in a single subject. At 5th level, a chart caster can implant two different subjects with multiple instances of one trick each and can choose a different trick for each subject. The number of additional subjects increases by one for every 4 mesmerist levels he has beyond 5th.
Using this ability again on an existing subject or to implant any trick on a new subject ends all previously implanted tricks. The caster can trigger only one instance of the same trick on a given subject per round.
This alters mesmerist tricks and manifold tricks.
