So far, all pocket editions have been reprints of the latest hardback editions.

I'm also pretty sure that the devs have better things to do (PF 2.0) than to bother with errata for one of the last PF 1.0 hcs at all.
I think an implicit issue in his question is that consumers may have better things to spend their money on than a flawed hardcover with lots of obsolete rules.

Ultimate Wilderness is much better than folks think. The art is some of the best in any of the hardcovers.

I agree, as a work of game rules and game options, Ultimate Wilderness has some nice art.

It was one of my favorites in the whole line. It was one of the few I considered keeping when I moved on from PF1.
I could see why people didn't like it but I didn't share their opinions on the overall quality.

Imo at least "Bestiary 6" & "Monster Codex" should be done. ;-)

It may be that with the release of "Second Edition" in august, there is no time to focus on anything else in this month.
The other possibility is that the next wave will be announced only shortly before the release date.
It would be great if somebody from Paizo could answer the question:
-Are further Pathfinder (and Starfinder) pocket editions planned or is this it for the time being?
I recently bought several pocket editions and will be getting occult adventures and ultimate equipment as well. I am not sure about this one yet.

I don't know if it's been announced anywhere, but Amazon has pocket editions of Bestiary 6 and Villain Codex available on October 1st.

It won't. The way they make these pocket editions is by printing the latest hardback version in a more compact softcover form. Since there has been no reprint of the original Ultimate Wilderness hardback, the contents of the pocket edition will be the same as those of the original. And given that these pocket editions are about to ship, time has run out for there to be another hardback printing in time.
Well if that is the case then I should cancel my preorder.

Sadly, this means I won’t be purchasing either one. I’ve been holding out on buying either of them, waiting for a second edition of this book that included the errata before buying it. i was told at GenCon last year thatt a second printing wouldn’t happen until all of the first print run was gone. I knew that was unlikely to happen, based on the substantial errata for the Shifter class. I had hopes that the pocket edition would update the text. I have the pdf and the errata. Why would I buy a substandard product?
This saddens me, the idea that Paizo has decided to not fix this issue when putting out a newer version because their focus is completely on Pathfinder Second Edition. It gives a message of abandonment for those who have supported Paizo for all these years. Come on, guys; this edition isn’t even dead yet, and you’re throwing the body in the ditch.

An exception made once could be made again. The fact that there is an exception shows the policy is not written in stone. As a consumer, I feel this was a poor choice, especially after talking about this exact issue with two developers for Paizo at GenCon last year. It’s not like they were unaware of the issue of the consumer response.
They have made a choice... and that choice was to do nothing.

Because doing otherwise would not be remotely worth it. They put out pocket edition but then you'd have complaints of not putting out a 2nd printing of the hardcover, why completely overhaul a book that hasn't even sold out?. They'd still be all of the 1st printing copies, and there's little guarantee the second printing would sell well.

Yes,. It’s just got nothing to do with PF2 - that was the interpretation I was responding to.
I totally understand people’s desire for them to change this policy. It’s just misleading to portray it as abandonment of PF1 players in favour of PF2. If anything, its likely the PF2 errata/reprint policy is going to result in fewer revisions to the printed books.

No, they only print errata if the reprint the book. I wouldn't expect errata for any more PF1 books, and as something of a PR fiasco Ultimate Wilderness is the last one I would expect to ever sell out.
So did anyone get this product? if so did we get the updated version of the Shifter?
