A Meeting Discussing the Merits of Pathfinder Online

Tomorrow at 5 PM Pacific The Empyrean Order will be having a meeting with members and leadership from Covenant of The Pheonix. Most of the meeting does not concern those outside TEO and CotP but there will be 30 minute section discussing Pathfinder Online as a game.

The intent of this section is to go over some of the highlights of PFO and then open up for questions from an audience not greatly familiar with this title.

Here is a brief summary of my planned presentation.

What is Pathfinder Online

- A sandbox fantasy MMO with many elements similar to EVE Online.

- Based off of the Pathfinder tabletop RPG.

Why should you play it?

- There is no grinding.

- There are no classes.

- There are player structures and territorial control.

- PvP is meaningful.

- Players are not segregated by level.

- The economy is complex and player driven.

Audio for this portion of the meeting will be made available to the community as a resource. If anyone else from the community would like present on one or more of the points in that summary, or additional points they feel are important to many incoming players they would be welcome. You are also free to come just to listen in, or to ask/answer questions during the Q&A portion. Contact me or post here if interested.

Not at all. TSV members are welcome to stay in channel the entire meeting. Everyone else can come and we'll drag them into channel when the portion on PFO begins. I've allotted 40 minutes for the first portion of the meeting, but it likely won't take that much time. The PFO portion is the second.

I might have to drop in. I'd like to see how you sell PfO to another organization like ours. Hopefully you can pull a good bit of them in, it'd be great to see a few new faces in here.

Regardless if I drop in or not, I hope things go well for you guys!

Andius could you see if someone could record this one? I think for those that miss amongst our numbers it would be extremely beneficial to hear exactly everything that was said rather than a summary this time.

Yeah. I'll see what I can do about putting the full audio up somewhere for you guys. As stated here I intend to make the section two that's about Pathfinder Online in general available to the whole PFO community.

Meeting starts in an hour. The PFO portion is set to start about 40 minutes after but that's only if the first section fills it's full allotted timeframe, so I'd encourage everyone to show up early.

Thanks to those who attended. The joining of TEO into the CotP community is a major move for us that both groups seem to be very excited about.

Several people recorded the audio for this meeting so I'll see what we can do about getting one of them to host it up within the next few days.
