Is there going to be a map and encounter in issue #9? That was my motivation for subscribing.

Link to Francis Tsai's alternate cover for this issue (I assume, based on the "2" on the cover).

Since he's got ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease), it's drawn using eye-gaze technology, incidentally.

I would be pretty sure that that is a cover for Issue two of the Goblins comic.

What the... I was sure I'd clicked on Goblins #2...

I've posted the link in its proper place - perhaps the mods can delete this part of the thread - even if I find it a nice change to see some discussion about the actual comic and/or covers to it.

The Exchange

I subscribe to comics through my FLGS. Not so local actually, hour drive each way but you get the idea. I'd really rather be reading about the Heroes and not Goblins. If Pathfidner "goblins" was a separate title, I would not be collecting it. I'd prefer to actually drop it, but I don't want to harass my store by subscribing to a comic only when they're telling regular stories.

I still think there's a market for having some of the older AP's told in comic form.

Can I make a suggestion? I saw that you used some source material from the comics for the Pathfinder Card Game [Black Fangs Lair]. How about adding one shot scenarios for the card game in the back of the comic?

Would make a great additional to the other source materials you put back there.

What are the chances of there being a PDF issue of the comic books?

I have no place to keep a expanding collection of physical comic books. That is why I don't buy the Hard copy gaming books. I have no place to put them, nor do I want to lug my entire collection to every game....once I find some other players.

I really like the map. Is there any new information on their return?

I totally want to go to this movie.

Inspired by Silence of the Lambs, eh?

Has the art gotten better? Those first 6 issues were brutal. Everything was so ugly.

Dynamite is pretty good about posting a few preview pages of each issue on their website on a book's release date. You can check out the art in this issue here and decide if its to your liking.

Is this the issue with the interior map of the Rusty Dragon?

It has two pages of text on the inn, plus a two-page spread for Ameiko Kaijitsu's stat block. As for a map, my copies of 7-12 don't have the map inserts when I looked, and since I'm pretty good about putting those back into the issues that have them, I think it didn't come with one, rather than me having it separate but lost. So if I had to guess, no map.

Thanks for the quick answer! :)

Do you have any idea if one of the earlier issues (# 1 - 6) has the interior map?

It's not in any of those either. The insert maps are generally sized for smaller encounter sites. They're closerr in size to the GameMastery Map Packs. You probably would do best with one of the tavern Flip-Maps, even though I don't think they've made the Rusty Dragon as one of those specifically.

You can obtain digital versions of the comics through Comixology. You used to be able to use reader apps to buy them, but when Amazon bought Comixology, they decided to screw over anyone who did not buy a Kindle, but especially IOS users by removing the purchase facility from all other versions, so if you're not using a Kindle, you have to purchase on the website then you can read them either on the web or on your device of choice.

That said, the Kindle HDX or any tablet with Retina equivalent display, is an excellent way to read them if you opt for the larger 8.9 inch version.
