Dire's PbP "Table Rules" -
0 - RL > Game. No other rules trump rule 0! :D
1 - I'd like it if everyone posted once a day Mon-Fri. Friday night through Sunday night is eh-whatever (I am in US Eastern Time, for reference). I'll try to post when I can over weekends, but I know people have lives and won't always be online, so no worries. My local area's "game night" is Monday, so my GM posts on those days won't be until very late.
2 - If you don't post in the middle of an "action" scene for a day, you get skipped once (or botted if your action would be super obvious or you leave a note to me or another player "proxying" your character). If you don't post a second time, you get "botted" by me to do something simple (usually just attack or aid another). If we get into the 3-5 range, I'll probably drop you a line off-list to see what's up. If it goes on too long...well, I hate dropping people from games, but it unfortunately happens :(
3 - When you've got a saving throw to make, please roll that first before posting any other actions/rolls (unless it can occur before the save).
4 - Feel free to roll perception whenever you want. If you want to spend hero points before learning the result of the roll, feel free to set conditional statements (i.e. "if that's a failure, I'll reroll"), and so on.
5 - Have fun! Rule 5 trumps all other rules! :P

So, there is something I experimented with once that my players seemed to like that I'd like to do again (since I have it fully built and sound-scored) -
For maps, minis, and NPC art, we will be utilizing Roll20! All dice rolls and RP will remain here, though.
If you have a character with a token you want to use, feel free to send it to that game table. If not, just let me know and I'll make a token for you using your character's image on here. Otherwise, if you have a specific one you'd like to use not linked to paizo.com, let me know and I'll take care of it from there!
The other advantage of Roll20 is that, since I use background music in all my games, it'll be there on the table each time you check the map. However, if you don't want the music on, just go to the gear icon in the upper-right corner and turn the "master music volume level" slider bar all the way down.

Also, an apology for getting these game forums up and running so late. I am the online lead for PaizoCon 2022, and the last week has been extremely busy for us. Who knew that drafting a schedule for 800+ games would take so long? :P
One of our players has indicated that they are out of town for a couple of days, so we'll be starting slow and focusing on the roleplay more than the mission (which is fine - gives you all time to think of questions and plan things) before we get fully into it!

Hey all. I'll get folks set in Roll20 tomorrow who need it. With one of our players unavoidably out of town for a few days, we'll be slow-rolling the start anyway, so no rush. Every time I've run this "live" (VTT), it's run shorter than expected, so I'm confident we'll be okay on timing, regardless.
While I have you here, does anybody have GM Glyphs that could add to your collective Hero Points?

Yea, I had the link in the wrong place. It should be fixed now and appearing at the top of the PbP game pages, and in my profile by-line, so you can easily access it at all times.
I see three characters signed in out of the five that have joined the table. Player #6 won't be here for ~48 more hours, so it's still okay that we're getting set up.
We're not going to be using Roll20 for anything more than maps and art. All minis/tokens are set such that everyone can see their names and move them around. Because I have scenery, art, music, handouts, and more on here (and since it was one of my VAs who built it, I don't have access to the base files that built it so reconstructing the table on google slides would take awhile). All you'll need to do is move your minis around on it, really, and enjoy the art/music as you will :)
Hero points are noted on the mins in the yellow circles, as well. Currently everybody has 1, Martin & Ranzak have a second, and there are 2 still available to be handed out.
As a note, I am using a boon that gives me 1 hero point as well, but as I'm the GM this means I can only use it to benefit one of you during the course of play!
Because I don't want us to sit too long, I'll get the intro posted tomorrow. For now, I have your minis/tokens ready in Roll20, which you can move into a marching order (the yellow box denotes the rough area you'll be arriving to maps in that I'll re-arrange as needed).

Look for replies from Brackett in a few minutes. The bulk of my PaizoCon work is now past, so I should be posting regularly now going forward!

I believe any Paizo employee can do so, technically. Because the evaluations need to be done by three different people, folks tend to ask their local VCs as well as others they've played with. One of the few good things to come from the pandemic is that online games have introduced a lot of people to each other across the world - my last two evaluations were for a British and French GM, respectively!
Who you ask is totally up to you. I'm getting close to my 100th PF2 game, so I need to start thinking about that myself.

My apologies for not mentioning this sooner, but this weekend is GM signup time for PaizoCon. Since I'm responsible for ~800 games of that, I'm not going to be able to update our game until tomorrow night. Sorry about that, but rest assured that I'll be back by this time tomorrow!

I tried checking the map but there are no tokens on it at all! I'll try back in a few hours to see if the situation is fixed.
Heya. I'm not sure what you're seeing that nobody else is.
When you first load the game, you'll see the map in the upper left corner, and it will look like THIS.
(minus the GM-buttons at the bottom and the GM text at the right)
Then you scroll to the bottom-right, as I mentioned here.
Once there, the map will look like THIS.
From that, you should just be able to click and drag your token.
What are you seeing when you load the map?

It's something I started doing a bit before the pandemic and the shift to online gaming, but have increased tenfold since. Doing it in a pbp is harder, but I figure anything that helps our shared escapism is worth it!
I just reported our game to Outpost V, so look for that to appear in your records shortly. I'll leave this campaign open for a few more days in case something comes up, but other than that, thank you all again for playing, and I hope to see you at tables again in the future!

After the mission, Fyn spends some time growing turnips for market.
Fyn is level 2 so he does a 0-level task (his level -2) for DC 14. So a 20 is a normal success. He's trained, so he earns 5 cp/day because it's a level 0 task (or does he earn 3 sp/day because he is level 2?) for a total of 4sp (or 2.4 gp if it goes off of his level, but I think the former is the correct way to do it. I always get confused though...)
EDIT: I just remembered that I was planning to use his downtime to retrain his ancestry feat from animal accomplice to empathetic plea (the nerfing of the independent/valet combo, reasonable though it is, makes a familiar much less interesting for him). So that uses 7 days of his downtime so he only earns income for 1 day (for a total of 5 cp).
